After getting the run around from several different companies with outrageous prices, GBS was a breath of fresh air to work with. Their transparency, their reasonable pricing, their quick work, and their commitment to go the extra mile to make sure your roof is fixed is unparalleled!

"Our response to the review posted about the roofing project at the [member name removed] residence. The work for this $21,190.69 project was completed November 20, 2009. We were called out to the house a few days after to address an issues with new shingles flapping in high wind. We diagnosed the problem as the new shingles not sealing properly on the north slope. We hand sealed this small area and remedied that issue. The next issue of water backing up on the east side of the house causing icicles was addressed on February 23, 2010. On the 24th, our field supervisor verified that there was no problem with the installation and this was a weather related issue. On April 22, 2010 we were called out for a leak in the barn. The homeowner requested a meeting on the 30th with our field supervisor and he discovered that the sealant on the transparent acrylic ridge cap had failed and re sealed it. We were called out again for a leak in the barn on November 1st of 2010. On the 2nd, our field supervisor diagnosed the problem as a failed seam in a valley. He successfully repaired the problem. To OUR knowledge, these are the only issues that we were contacted about. These items were addressed and corrected within 24 hours except the first barn issue was scheduled a few days out so the homeowner could show us the problem personally. All issues are documented and kept in the client’s file. To address the “nightmare” of the barn roof, it is true that we replaced it twice. The first time, our crew was instructed by the homeowner to install fasteners in the same manner as the original roof. Which our crew obliged. (we should have never done this as it is not in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommended pattern). Second, our installer incorrectly aligned the panels and over tightened the fasteners which damaged the panels. We quickly responded to the problem and ordered new materials and replaced the roof again. We took responsibility for the barn roof and remedied the problem. I can understand that a home owner would be upset with this situation. We understand that problems arise and it’s not that there is a problem, but how you respond to the problem. We believe that all problems were handled in a timely and professional manner. The last item of concern we have is one of our crew members supposedly urinating on the side of the house. This was purely speculation. A can of soda was dropped from the roof and splashed on the siding. This was mere feet from the front door and we inspected and cleaned the siding. We absolutely do not condone or promote urinating on client’s homes and this is absolutely unacceptable “if” it happened which it did not. We understand that there were errors made on our part and we did absolutely everything we could to remedy them and in a timely manner. It is also understandable that a home owner would be upset about the issues. We do not however understand why three and a half years later this is being posted."
