Filter reviews by service
I've been with comcast for several years and worked for one of their call centers until recently providing technical support. My internet and television have been working great until after we transferred account names from my brother's to mine and upgraded our package. I upgrade to 50 extra channels and 50 Mbps of speed for internet. First of all, they can find no record of the deal, so after a promo period(for the wrong packagel) the internet speeds we had been promised were taken away. To add back on they charged an additional fee of $10/month and told me that since no such deal existed, they could not give me the prices I was promised. I found this out when out of nowhere, they shut off service. I had been 2 weeks past due 2 months prior but not only paid the past due amount w/late fees, but also paid the next months service as well. The system then auto-logged me in as a disconnect due to non-payment. I called a few day after making the payment online to make sure it was received and I would not be disconnected. The rep assured me that everything had been received and I would not lose service. They non-pay disconnect still was in effect despite everything. I called to reactivate service and they charged me for their mistake after speaking with 6 people to get both t.v and internet restored and reconnection fees credited back to the account. Ever since they cut me off, charged me to be reconnected, charged me extra for internet speeds I was promised in the first place, my internet and t.v. have been acting wonky. My internet now gives me the Comcast activation page at least 1 time a week sometimes more. My t.v. connection has been really fuzzy, losing signal, and randomly changing channels on my television(not the cable box)! Whatever they are doing is seriously annoying me and I'm about ready to drop them. If other providers in the area didn't have such poor reviews, I would. I guess Comcast is the lesser of most evils around here but that does not mean they are the best.
Thank you,
Steph
