When I met up with Robbie and received a quote o felt pretty good about the work that was supposed to be completed. He was very reasonably priced, which should have been a clue. In almost two months the only job that was completed was the installation of carpet in two rooms and stairs. This was only because he hired a carpet company to come on a complete the instal. The trim he put up in the house was not to standard. Instead of flowing it around the bull nose corners he filled the gaps with caulking. Some of the pieces had 1/8” gaps and others weren’t lined up properly. The deck never was done, he trimmed in the doors, before installing the new ones. So now I have the old doors, which some of them I cannot close without slamming them. One of them has ripped off a portion of the trim. The exterior paint was done extremely poorly. He painted the trim but stopped about a foot from the eve. I found trim paint on the siding of the house. I literally saw all this while pulling up in the driveway. Also, the rain gutters weren’t painted. The tile looked good other than there was a couple areas he didn’t grout, small areas by the trim. They also caulked the bottom of the trim thus getting it on the tile. I paid Robbie $6200.00 over the 50% of what I was supposed to, only because he asked for an extra 1k a week ago. He and his crew were spotty at best when it came to showing up. We had several discussions on communicating with me, when they would be there or not. It seemed as though I was always the one reaching out. This was extremely frustrating. Basically I paid 6200 for carpet. He promised me he would be back to fix the paint and refund me some money. I’ve texted him and he hasn’t responded. I guess it is time to take him to small claims court. I really wish there was a way to post pictures. Needless to say I would not hire him to do anything in my house again. Horrible work, horrible communication and unreliable. I’m hoping this review helps. This whole situation is why I have a sever mistrust of people. My suggestion would be, read reviews and don’t settle on the cheapest. Now I am out my money and having to hire someone to come in and fix and finish all of this “work”.
