He did the work right there while I waited, and the work was excellent. His prices were a little higher than the other businesses that I checked with in town, but he answered the phone when I called (I didn't need to leave a message or wait on hold), and I didn't need to wait long before he was available to repair my phone.

It did not go well.
Nerdtap kept my daughter's phone - the first time- for over a week. Then she only had it for 5 days when the "new" screen went out. It took many calls and texts and days to get a response from Nerdtap. We also went to their office twice during the week and they were closed. We were told by neighboring businesses they were rarely there.
Then Joe from Nerdtap picked the phone up from my daughter at her summer job. He returned 15 minutes later and pointed to a crack in the screen and said my daughter dropped it so there was no warranty. Now, this phone had been examined by two people prior to Joe picking it up. Neither observed a crack or any marks. My daughter has a protective outer case for the phone and she did not drop it during this 5 day period.
Joe said the crack was at the digitizer and should not affect the screen. He promised to return the phone the next day. Again we called for days, texted for days. Joe left a message and said it will be another $50 for my daughter to get a used screen now. My daughter left him a message asking for an explanation why she needed to buy a second screen. No response.
At this point I started calling and texting Joe. He agreed to meet me at his office.
When we met Joe continued to blame my daughter for this crack. He tried to show me a second "crack" but it went away when I asked him to wipe the screen. We left with a phone with a non-functioning screen and Joe from Nerdtap has $165 for providing no service and no functioning product. Joe was only interested in selling us another screen.
I do not recommend this company. It was a bad experience in every way.

"Hey [Member Name Removed], We're getting caught up on all the sites where we have reviews. Although this one was a one star and we agree that the experience was not good, eight years ago, we have learned a lot from your review since then so we thank you for being honest and showing us how we can grow. Take care and hope to still help you in the future :) - Damon @ Nerdtap"
