Matt did a great job tearing out concrete and hauling it away around our pool. He gladly worked along side my college age son and his friend. I will hire him for the sprinkler system soon. Matt is hard working, dependable and gets the job done at a reasonable price. My husband and I give him an A++ !

He wanted to wait till he was done with his house and before he left for vacation and that's what the job looks like. Like he just crammed it in between. We said we wanted gravel that was the color of the yard across the street and what we got was a different color and was dirty and turns to mud when it rains. Driveway border looks terrible. He stopped by and asked if we were satisfied and my wife said no and told him what was wrong and that was the last we heard from him. also asked him to spray ground clear before laying new gravel,he agreed to..but when job was done, he said he didn't do it and we could just spray it over the new gravel.

"I'm sorry to find out about this review, especially so long after the project occurred. I would like to provide a few bits of information to make this more accurate for those reading these reviews. - The color of the rock was different, but they indicated they would like something like their neighbors, but not identical. After installing, the customer's wife indicated the color was too light. I told her we could darken it up by supplementing the rock with a darker color and I would do that at my cost completely until they were satisfied. She said that she would need to check with her husband and get back with me. I never received contact, however would still do this free of charge even after their negative review shown here, if they would contact me; no bitter feelings. - The concrete curbing was not originally requested. The customer just wanted the existing rock to abut the new rock. I told the customer's wife that I would use some reclaimed curbing to separate the two rocks until they decided what to use to separate the two rocks. I put it down a little haphazardly since it was intended to be temporary, but I did not charge anything for the material or the time to haul it or lay it out, so nothing was lost by the customer. - Regarding the weed spray, I must have misunderstood. The customer clearly stated they did not want weed barrier fabric and I didn't realize they wanted a weed spray. However, a weed spray would need to be re-applied often with no fabric, and is not a permanent fix. If I missed this, I apologize and would be willing to spray the yard (again, at my cost). Still, I was never contacted, but would still do it today if the customer was willing to give me the opportunity. - The decorative gravel was purchased from and delivered by a highly reputable company locally. Many customers choose this color of stone and with most natural products, there are some fines in it, however the mud is coming from the dirt under the rocks. If the customer is willing to give me the opportunity to satisfy this project, he may call me at 234-0583. No mention of this review will be made, just how to correct the situation. To the readers, please note the corrections for accuracy and note my other reviews and realize this review is the exception, not the rule pertaining to my business. Thank-you."

The work was completed well. The business practices were confusing. He did not send monthly billing; I had to remember to pay him every month. Being forgetful, I found this part of the experience frustrating.

In her comments, she indicated that she was forgetful and perhaps forgot the name of the company that provided her service. I do provide invoices to all of my customers. Everything went well on the initial work and the ongoing work. Matt and I both noticed that part of the block retaining wall is slightly lower then it should be so he is going to relay that portion of the wall. I have an additional phase of gravel that we have already discussed.

Matt came out to our house (30 miles from Grand Junction) and submitted a bid of $1500 for trenching, installation and backfilling. He showed up on the following Monday morning with the trencher in tow and 4 hours later trenching was complete. The next 2.5 days consisted of laying and hooking up the pipe and heads. He did not mind at all that I wanted to jump in and do some of the work. When the project was complete, he made sure to remind us to call him with any problems or questions. He was very knowlegeable about his line of work, and he was also very professsional. He kept us in the loop on every aspect on both what he planned and what he did. He did not mind fielding our questions during the project either. He does not half do his job; if he spots a problem during installation, it is taken care of immediately. I will most definitely refer to him again in the future.

This is a young company started by two men (Matt Lanning and Scott Mauser). Matt is my next door neighbor and I know you couldn't find a nicer, more professional, more ethical or harder working men. They did all the work correctly and professionally, they did it quickly and the fee was very fair. I would recommend them to anyone. They are also preparing to install fertilizer systems that tie in to a sprinkler system. Something I'm having them do in the near future.
