Grand Junction Subaru

My subaru had an oil leal. I called to make an appointment and they got me in the next day and found that where I had previously had my oil change, Valvoline, had to use the wrong screw and Gasket. Grand Junction Subaru changed my oil and the gasket for free and had me on my way in less than an hour.

They give good service, I like them. The workers were very knowledgeable and polite, and the work was completed just like they said it would be.

As I stated above the transaction went very smooth and I was impressed with their friendly yet professional attitude.

The build was extremely complicated and it took several weeks, during which the mechanics uncovered several other problems. During the time they had the vehicle, they loaned me a brand-new Subaru to use. They also have a shuttle, but it was just easier for them to loan me a car. The service-rep (Zach) was a great guy who was honest with me about the problems and even when things started getting complicated, he did not get frustrated. The fact that they were willing to keep pushing forward was astonishing to me, since most shops probably would have given up, especially considering that this is a Subaru dealership and don't normally deal with Mercedes.

I took my car in to RockyMountain Subaru for repair and they accidentally did an oil change on it that I did not ask for. They refunded the cost, but unbeknownst to me, when changing the oil, the mechanic failed to tighten the oil pan drain plug adequately. Over the next two weeks, all the oil slowly leaked out of the engine. I could not see it pooling underneath the car because I parked on gravel at home and at work. We lived in Glade Park at the time, and one morning about two weeks after the oil change, I was driving down the Colorado National Monument into Grand Junction when my car's engine quit. I lost power brakes and power steering on a 4 mile downgrade with steep grades and hairpin curves. There was NO place to pull over, as it is a narrow, winding mountain road with no shoulder, and steep drop-offs. I was very lucky to have made it to the bottom of the hill without getting into a bad accident or careening off the road. I called Rocky Mountain Subaru, and had the car towed into them. Had to use my Auto Club to do that. They told me the oil had drained out of it due to the loose plug. They did not run any diagnostics on it that I was aware of. Instead, they simply added more oil and replaced the drain plug, took it for a spin and told me it ran OK and said they were sorry.
I will never patronize them again.

I had to because my Pontiac died. Rocky Mountain Subaru had some kind of promotion offering free car and down payment and stuff like that. I had bought my earlier car in 2003 and I had 1001,000 miles on it and it would cost more to fix it than it would be to buy a new one. They were awesome. I could not afford a new car but I don't care that it is a used one. Overall they were excellent. They are very neat people. I will continue to go there because with the Subaru I will get a 200,000 miles warranty.
