 + -1 moreWe were very impressed with the timing of the job - it was finished promptly and within the time frame indicated - no delays. We are very happy with the product and the overall job done - it looks beautiful. The installer did a masterful job "carving" the floor to fit around our stone fireplace and matching the caulk color exactly to the stone mortar - it looks like the floor has always been there! There were only two things that bothered me slightly about the process - the installer missed a 1/4 inch section (between the floor and the wall) near the front door that he assumed the base board would cover- it didn't. When I called our contact at FFFL to ask the installer to come back to fill in the gap, I think the installer was upset with my perfectionism - he did not show up for a week. When I called back to let our store contact know we hadn't heard from the installer, he was very apologetic. The installer returned and corrected the problem the very next day and it only took him 10 minutes. Our store contact called twice to make sure the problem was fixed. The only other thing I was not thrilled with was the installers left quite a lot of dust and some tubes of caulk behind when the left - but I guess with any construction you have to expect mess.
Description of Work: FFFL had a professional installer (Ken) put in a wood underlayment and then the actual product, Karndean Custom Floors (a composite vinyl with a "wood look") in our living room/great room. My husband and I ripped out the old carpet, removed the baseboards, and prepped the subfloor ourselves to save money on the job.
