I recently remodeled my house and hired Dan to do the tile work for the bathroom. He was definitely one of the best subs I hired. His bid was competitive, the work was done on time, and he communicated well. Most importantly, he did quality work and used good materials. I recommend him without hesitation.

It went well. Dan has good communication skills, showed up when he said he would be there, and completed the job when he said he would.

We live in Denver, where the new-housing market is going through the roof. It was hard to find a tile installer to do this relatively small job. No one would respond to our phone calls and emails. However, Dan, the owner of MIle HIgh Master Tile, responded to our Angie's List email within two hours, including a quote. Although he was managing another couple of floor tile crews, he came out and did the job himself. He did a beautiful job. And he came when he said he would and charged what he said he would. You can't beat that!

I emailed Dan over the 4th of July weekend and was surprised to get an email back that same weekend. I told Dan our sad story about prior tiller's work having just been torn down after a very poor install. Dan asked all the right questions, had me send pictures of the project and materials; he sent us an estimate. He fit us into his very busy schedule, showed up when he said he would and was not thrown when he realized there was more tear-out to do on the hearth. He got to work. We went to work and we were pleasantly surprised to get home that evening to find the work complete and GORGEOUS! Dan is our hero- a really great job! I will call him for my next project and would recommend him to anyone looking for a truly skilled craftsman!

We were extremely satisfied. Our home was flooded in the September, 2013 flood that hit Boulder, Colorado, and the re-mediators cut the drywall 2 1/2 feet above the floor in three large rooms in the basement. Dan and Rubin repaired the drywall so well that one could not see that it had been damaged at all. The spoke to us about using various underlying materials to ensure that the tile would never crack from shifting, and also about using urethane grout so that it would be impermeable if there is another flood in our area. We had prepared a pattern using four sizes of tiles with five separate surfaces so the entire basement looks like it is real slate. They understood that I did not want a repeating pattern, and were extremely good about using the template that my husband had prepared. We appreciated their precise workmanship and their knowledge of the best materials in our situation.

I called about 10 companies. Dan was one of 3 that provided a bid. His was in the middle, but I chose him because I just had a better feeling about his skills and understanding of my expectations. Things went well. He was able to start very soon after our initial contact and finished all work in four full days. He did very nice work, stayed in budget, and presented very professionally.

Dan is really good at both the tile installation and the wallboard repair.  He

got it done quickly, and we were very happy with the work.  Should mention

that Saltillo tile is not easy stuff--it has some bowing and other irregularities,

so  I am sure that the installation wasn't easy.  For the wallboard, he taped,

sanded and painted, including texturing, with no seams left visible.

It was fine. He was on time and came when he said. It took as long as he said it would.

I was surprised how few tile installers were responsive, but Mile High Master Tile was responsive and happy to install my backsplash, even though it was a small job.  The installer was great - he was on time, quick and did an excellent job.  I would use him again anytime!

Dan and his associate did a great job, they finished on time without any additional charges. We were very happy with the work, price and schedule and would use Dan again. This is the second time we have used Dan, he also did our Master Bath several years ago, which came out beautiful.

In my 8th month of pregnancy I called Dan from Mile High Master Tile in to inspect our tile-shower-installation-in-progress after some consultation with a seasoned ex-professional and some searching on the internet led me to believe that my current contractor was in over his head and that I needed to seek professional intervention.  After a fair estimate and an initial assessment of the situation, Dan made every effort to salvage what he could from the previous contractor?s work, but every step of the way it became more evident that the magnitude of the situation was far worse than originally suspected.  With a full demolition and re-do in order (significantly increasing the anticipated man-hours for completion), Dan rearranged his personal schedule to see the job through, dedicating himself to complete the work in a timely manner given the advanced state of my pregnancy.  He worked with speed, skill, confidence and dedication and stood by his original quote as closely as possible (only charging for additional materials) when it would have been fair to charge us much more.  The finished work is absolutely beautiful and I have the peace of mind knowing it was done properly.  If anyone ever needs one, I know a GREAT tile guy!
