1) Touch up stain between electric and water meters, and top frame of sliding doors;
2) Pick up nails all over yard (from replacing boards)
3) Replace corner/edge roofing tiles on area near chimney
4) Replace roofing tiles he confessed to breaking over front door;
5) Remove drips of trim color on siding.
He did none of the above except putting edge roofing tiles (#3) in place, but then did not secure them so they are in danger of falling off at any time; (I have photo of them). He also denied that any of the empty paint buckets and trays in the side yard were his.
He said he would not re-do one long vertical trim board that had been cut too short and was inches shy of the top of the wall.
During the time that the workers were there, they created a large pile of trash in the back yard from lumber scraps, their lunch boxes, bags and cups, aluminum soda and beer cans. (Also have a photo of this) Mr. Maier denied that his workers left trash, and denied that any of the beer cans were theirs. The food refuse attracted raccoons and rats at night.
Back deck was not properly prepared and stain started bubbling and peeling almost immediately. He wanted me to buy more stain so he could apply another coat. I did not - I thought that was his problem, not mine. He told me that Cabot was the brand of stain he used and I contacted the company. They sent a questionnaire to start investigating the problem. This needed to be filled out by Mr. Maier but he refused.
