We have used High Country Home Improvement for our last two projects…new stairs/railings and a completely new kitchen with new flooring throughout the main floor. Rob Gabriel is the owner. He is a good communicator, has a good group of workers who are reliable and do good work. Rob made sure we where happy with the work and if any issues came up, he fixed them. We recommend High Country Home Improvement.

High Country remodeled our kitchen. It was a challenge for them based on what we wanted to do. The project turned out even better than we thought it would as we just love the kitchen now. The stayed on schedule and on budget. Their employees were very good at what they did - kept the dust and mess out of the rest of the house - and everything was installed properly - cabinets that were installed were beautiful - and all work properly and fit exactly as planned - and we worked with thier cabinet shop which was also a great experience. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Rob and his team completed a kitchen/laundry renovation for us. Rob’s crew was great to work with: showing up on time, leaving the work site clean at the end of the day, notifying us of any concerns and giving us options to resolve. They also ensured that our concerns were addressed promptly. Our renovation happened around the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays and we figured out ways to ensure we had the needed access to appliances without disrupting the overall construction schedule. Ultimately construction was completed on time and on budget. We are thrilled with our new, more functional kitchen and laundry room.

We have worked with Rob and his team on 2 separate occasions. The first a very large flooring replacement project with a lot of additional miscellaneous work and the second to replace all our home windows. Rob's team shows up on time, does good work and are generally nice guys. Any concerns I had were taken care of and no detail forgotten. We plan to hire them in the future for any additional renovation work.

Rob and his team took on our remodel project in 2022 finishing up in 2023. We are very happy with the outcome of the project and enjoy our new layout every day. Rob's teams included Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry and all of the finish work. This was a major project and Rob's expertise and his teams professionalism is very much appreciated. I would recommend HCHI to anyone looking for a project especially if there are unique components to the job.

Cannot recommend Rob and his fantastic crew enough. They completely gutted and remodeled our entire kitchen, did a beautiful wood floor install in the living room and upstairs bedrooms, and remodeled our master bedroom and master bath. Rob and his guys also have a good eye for design, and really know how to just *make it pretty* at the end of the day. Great communicator, always kept us up to date with what was happening with the project, what steps were next, what supplies we needed to pick up or critical design choices on our end. Would definitely recommend and use them again for a couple other home remodel projects we still have up our sleeve!

We hired High Country to do a partial remodel of our basement including the addition of a powder room. The work came out better than hoped with a cost that was in-line with expectations. The High Country Crew are efficient, enthusiastic, and skilled. There were hiccups and adjustments during the remodel, but they were accommodated smoothly. I enjoyed having the crew work in our home as they are respectful and know their jobs. Work done included demo and framing (Kyle, Cody, and Alex), drywall and painting (Mike, Nick, and Zach), finish carpentry (Brandon), tile (Greg and Alex). Plumbing and electrical were handled by subs that were also a pleasure to deal with. I learned from the workers that they Rob is fair and honest.

We contacted High Country Home Improvement through Home Advisor 2 years ago. Rob met with us, thoughtfully and thoroughly reviewed the demolition of our 1970's bathroom. My husband and myself are good judges of character and, from the get go, we knew this is the man we would want to work with. He provided a cost estimate quite a bit under our expectation and also a start and end date. The draw system works exceptionally well in that discussion and possible changes are occurring along the way. Rob was wonderful to work with. He stopped by daily and he required more of his crew than we did. His expectations and desire for perfection can be un-nerving. But speaking of the crew for High Country Home Improvements:::you'll not get a more honest, pleasant, likable, competent, TIMELY, courteous bunch of guys. Each in their own right could own and operate their own business. Our bathroom is beautiful!!! It was completed on time with a small overage due to 1970 rusted pipes between floor and basement ceiling. Well, to say the least, we have moved on to the kitchen this year. Total gut job and OMG, it's a work of art. Once again, the cost was not nearly what our neighbors' have spent (yes we do share with them) and our time frame was 1/2 of their inconvenience. We were steered in the right direction by Rob for cabinets, granite, etc. The crew would sit in front of the house 5 min to 8am, waiting. Due to Rob and his crew our 1970's house is getting a much needed face lift and, as Rob knows, we have a few other projects on the horizon. Wish I could upload pictures. You wouldn't believe the transformation.

We have had ALOT of remodels and I have to say High Country Home Improvement is truly in a league of it's own! Our guys Greg & Darin showed up daily on-time and the work was phenomenal ! We have had other trades here and all ask who did your remodel , the eye for detail AMAZING and that is not even enough credit for this job! The best part was the short amount of time it took! We couldn't have been more pleased with the outcome of engaging Rob and High Country Home improvement. This project was our first major renovation. We had Rob and team completely redo our master bathroom, guest bathroom, and Jack&Jill bathroom. His estimates (time & $) and referrals to product specialists (to find tile, pick out cabinets, etc) were accurate and reasonable. Rob's team of Darin and Greg were friendly, polite, and did great work. They were very good at communicating with us and gathering information along the way to ensure a successful project. I intend to use High Country Home Improvement for any future projects.

We contracted Rob and his team to completely overhaul our outdated 1980's town home. The project lasted approximately eight weeks. Rob provided a detailed bid explaining the cost of the project, which was very reasonable. He also provided sound advise on where to upgrade fixtures, and found ways for us to save money so that we could maximize our budget. I appreciate that Rob and his team were very accommodating and flexible as our family lived in the house during the entire project. Rob visited the site almost daily to ensure the quality of work was to the highest standard. I appreciate that his team was not only experienced in many technical areas, but they were always friendly and truly seemed to enjoy their work. They also did a detailed clean up every day to ensure they were leaving the house to our satisfaction. The only opportunity was that there were a couple of days that Rob had to adjust scheduling, but he clearly communicated the issue and explained the reason. In a market in which skilled labor is at a premium, Rob does a great job vetting out his workforce to ensure he hires quality people that are skilled and trustworthy. It has been three months since the completion of our project, and we are still incredibly pleased with the workmanship Rob and his team provided.

They finished our basement and it turned out excellent. They were on time and did excellent work.

Comment: Though Rob seems to be a nice guy, my experience with his business, and crew was nothing short of terrible. It would be easier to list the things that went right than the things that went wrong. Rob Clearly has too much going on, and does not monitor the people that work for him nearly close enough. My experience was very bad.

Rob and his crew made our dream of a new kitchen in our very old house a reality. We not only had to replace flooring, down to leveling the subfloor on a concrete, very unlevel floor, but reframe the walls over cinder block walls, re wire including new electrical service, and change plumbing to accommodate our new kitchen. Rob worked with several other craftsmen to make this happen. I would recommend Rob and high country to anyone considering a kitchen or bath remodel.

Rob gave us a written itemized estimate (emailed) and was excellent at explaining questions we had and where to buy tile, fixtures, etc. Greg was meticulous about all parts of the install, tile, and toilet, fixtures and lighting. He gave us some great ideas for placement of items. Greg was on time, cleaned up every day at the end of the day, and he was as neat as possible with the material. He had a great work ethic and energy. He really loved his work. He was a pleasure to have in the house for 2 and a half weeks! Rob was consistent about checking up with us in person every day or two, and was always available for questions and for checking up on progress. We are extremely happy with the new shower. Very reliable and honest.

We had a great experience with Rob and his crew. They saved our home remodel from a "handyman" disaster before it was too late! We had been searching for a couple months for a contractor who could take down the wall between the kitchen and living room and install a support beam in the attic according to an engineer's drawings. We finally found High Country Home Improvement through Home Advisor and were so happy with the professional know how and, no-nonse approach to our project. They came with a large crew and executed the plan with military precision. And were in and out in a day and a half. After it was over and we inspected the results with Rob we asked him to look at some other remodel work going on in the house. Rob showed us the shoddy nature of the work and explained to us in what way it was not up to code and would never pass inspection. Mortified and about 6k out of pocket we asked Rob to give us a proposal to redo the work and finish the rest of the remodel. From the beginning Rob was very fair and always on top of the project. Here are the different projects they completed in our remodel... - Wall demo between kitchen and living room. Beam install in attic above to support structural load. - Demo poor framing work done by the "Handyman" and rebuild framing to code. They completed this in about a day! It took the handyman 2 weeks. They framed out the new placement of the master bedroom walls, bathroom, and closet. As well as, framed out a bump out closet in one of our kids rooms. - Drywall all the new framing and all the finishing that goes into that. - Kitchen back splash, hood, island, air return under island. - New gas line install for the new gas range in the kitchen. - Reinforced deck stairs from the second level to make them solid as a rock! You can't put a price on safety. - Additional framing and finishing and dealing with the electricians who were grand fathered into the project. We are very happy with the results and would highly recommend Rob and his crew. We look forward to doing work with them again in the future on some bathroom remodels!

Rob and his team were exceptional from beginning to end. Rob was the first bid I received for a complete bath remodel and the company I selected after receiving three additional bids. Patient and flexible with my many "what if" scenarios, always courteous and pleasant and Robeven helped me with my final tile decision!u These guys are knowledgeable and great at guiding you. The end result was the master bath of my dreams. Highly recommend and I will be using High Country again!
