Very accommodating and worked with us to change timeline due to our problems. Ended up having to pay a bit more because the slab we picked out wasn’t workable but not the fault of AofG. Work was performed on time and installed quickly and cleanly. Very happy with the results and appreciated the follow up call by Ken to inquire about the job.

We had minimal interaction with them on the bathroom jobs. They were somewhat slow, and the solid granite backsplash pulled away from the wall about an 1/8 of an inch. It's not terrible, but I consider the work mediocre. About the time they finished the bathroom, we contacted Mitch to let him know we wanted him to do the fireplace job in a few months. Three months later (April) we spoke with Mitch to schedule an appointment for templating on the fireplace, and he said he needed to check his schedule. He never returned the call. A few weeks later we called again, and were told that they were really busy, and Mitch would call us back. He never returned the phone call. About every 2-3 weeks we called again to try to schedule, and each time we were told Mitch would call us back and each time he failed to call. Finally in July, I got ahold of Mitch directly, and he said he sold my remnant because my contractor did not pay him. I immediately called the contractor, who provided proof of payment, and explained that he held payment until Mitch had provided requested insurance documentation and a W-9, and we saw that payment had occurred prior to us speaking with Mitch in April; he clearly withheld the fact that he had sold our remnant, and then had been ducking our calls for 3 months. At that point Mitch promised to make it right. He assisted in finding a similar full slab, but would only do the fireplace for full price on labor, despite the fact that he had delayed the job for months with his dishonesty and stall tactics. After several weeks of back and forth over pricing, I asked to be paid for the slab he sold. It took him a few more weeks to get me a check because he mailed it to the wrong address (I suspect on purpose). Despite my request to be paid based on the retail price I paid, he sent me a check for his prorated wholesale cost. At best, Art of Granite is run by a highly dishonest man, and I would avoid doing business with him at any cost. At worst, he is a thief.

We got a reasonable bid, and Mitch and his office staff were very pleasant to work with. They had a good selection of granite. The work did not get started until about 10 days after we had originally been told it would be (meaning about 10 days of washing our dishes by hand in the bathroom sink before kitchen sink and dishwasher could be installed), but once they did it, they got it done in one day. It looks great, the work was high quality, the workmen were pleasant, and we have had no problems with the counters in the year since they were installed - they look beautiful. We would be happy to work with Art of Granite again. This final comment is nothing to do with Art of Granite, it would be true for any installer, and it's just a heads up for anyone contemplating new counters. We just didn't realize how long the smell of the adhesive would be apparent - it took about a month to air the kitchen out, keeping windows open and running the vent fans all the time.

The quality of fabrication is good but unfortunately Art of Granite makes promises they can’t keep. We went with their quote even though it was higher than others because they said they could get the job done on our timeline. We were hosting Thanksgiving and wanted to have a counter by then. The afternoon before Thanksgiving they finally admitted they wouldn’t be able to do it. At this point, the job was taking three times as long as they originally quoted us. The frustrating part is that they did not keep us informed. Several times they delayed the project but would not reach out to us for and update. I would always have to email, wait a couple days and then call them to find out its delayed yet again.

Another reason we went with Art of Granite is because the owner was so responsive up front. However, once they received a check, I stopped hearing from him. In the end, we like how the counter was fabricated and they ended up giving us a $150 discount but that was not worth the frustration in working with Art of Granite. I would recommend looking elsewhere.

Very easy to work with and flexible with my schedule.  This was the second job that Mitch did for us and we are very happy with the result.

Fantastic job.  Quick, free, and accurate estimate.  Price was much less than all competitors.  Punctual for both estimate and for installation.
