Jim and Kyle arrived on time and proceeded to the roof to check the unit, which had never been professionally serviced in the 8 years since it had been installed by the same company. They found and repaired a loose belt and cleaned the drainage, which was nearly completely clogged. They also checked our electrical box and tested the connections. This was just a quick service call, not a full maintenance visit, and the unit is now working much better although the electricity is still surging every time the unit kicks on. It's possible this is due to other, recent electrical work that we had done at our house so my next call is to an electrician. At any rate, Jim and Kyle were very helpful and responsive to our needs and we will schedule a full maintenance visit with them next spring.
