G & G Roofing

I now have an awesome looking roof.  The workers were excellent - seemingly tireless, working very hard and efficiently. Even my neighbors commented on what hard workers they were.  Their supervisor (Jimmy) was equally awesome - he listened to all my concerns and made sure they were taken care of.  He took the time to explain things that I was worried about and showed me what other roofers I had previously hired to repair leaks had done wrong.  I was truly impressed with his professionalism! The actual work G&G did was to remove two layers of roofing (this second layer was done after the 4 hurricanes of 2004 hit Florida and good roofers were hard to find as they recommended it be done this way).  Once the shingles were all removed there was an unbelievable amount of water damage to the roof. They were very efficient mitigating all damage and installing new plywood.  Jimmy made sure everything that needed replacement was done (and done well). Their attention to detail truly impressed me - they even painted the vents and lead boots to match the roof! They added roof vents in places where there were none (and should have been).  Every day the workers would run their magnets around the house several times to make sure no nails remained in the grass, patio, or driveway.  After all the work was completed, Jimmy himself stopped by the next day and meticulously ran two different magnets around the house several times getting every nail that was buried deep within my grass (I'm betting he even got ones that had been there for years).  I cannot say how impressed I was with their hard work, efficiency, professionalism and friendly service. Kudos to Jimmy and his crew - a job well done. I would recommend this company to anyone needing roof work/replacement done. No rating on cost yet as the amount of damage exceeded what was expected and I am waiting for the final bill. Oh, another thing - they provided me with the Wind Mitigation Forms and pictures for my insurance company.  Also, shingles were rated at 130MPH Lifetime Warranty.  Thank you Jimmy and crew - awesome job!! 

They are a very unorganized company and would never recommend calling them. No service, no follow thru, and no class. Save yourself a headache and go to someone else.

I didn't check on their roof.  I paid them and assumed they did the job.  When we noticed the roof leaking again we found that they had fixed a couple of spots on the roof but left half of the roof in a mess.  They had rake the rocks to the side and never put them back and there were gaping holes on one end of the roof.  When called they would not return to look at their employee's work or return our phone calls.
