Our dryer started making a high pitched noise when it ran and was taking longer to dry clothes than it used to, and I knew it hadn't been cleaned in 7+ years, so I called Vent Sharks to come clean it out.  I was scheduled for service promptly.  Tony arrived right on time and got right to work.  He easily pulled out our dryer from the third floor small closet it was in, then sent a small camera down the vent duct in the wall as far as he could, showing me what it saw.  Then Tony sent down the rotating brush to pull lint back up towards him and into a vacuum cleaner that suctioned it all up (instead of pushing the lint out the vent exhaust and all over our backyard).  When the vent was clear, Tony and I went outside to see that the vacuum was now blowing easily and fully out the vent, unobstructed.  I had seen lint being suctioned up; Tony said he removed about a football-sized amount.  When Tony went to reattach the small bit of ducting from the back of the dryer to the wall, he suggested replacing it with better quality that was flexible and less crushable than my old, torn one.  It only cost $10 extra so I agreed and was happy for the suggestion.  After Tony replaced the ducting, he vacuumed up all debris and put the dryer back.  Everything was done easily and quickly in a half an hour.  Our dryer no longer makes the noise and seems to be drying better again.

Tony was on time and very thorough.  He climbed on my roof to first check for any obvious signs of dryer vent obstruction; then, he took a blower and blew out the vent.  He then connected the blower and had me step outside with him to hear the blower blowing through the opened dryer vent.  I appreciated he was able to get me in quickly in time for the dryer maintenance people to perform the necessary repair work.

We have an old dryer vent that curves at the top near the dryer and we've been having problems with the vent getting clogged with wet lint. Tony and Micaela were awesome! They were friendly, prompt, and flexible. The stackable washer and dryer are not at all easy to move in order to service the vent from behind. So they got down into the crawl space, where the vent passes through to the outside, and serviced and cleaned the vent from below. Tony was also able to inspect the vent and let us know what needs to be repaired in the future. We know we need to have the whole dryer vent replaced within the next year or so and Tony did not pressure me into making a decision now to have it replaced right away--which was really nice. I will definitely be calling Vent Sharks LLC in the future to have the dryer vent replaced and serviced.

Tony and Micaela showed up on time and went straight to work early Saturday morning on a very plugged dryer vent.  Just like the other reviewers stated, this tag team does a thorough, great job and were very accomodating.  Very personable and a real pleasure to have in my home.  Our builder erroneously left a screen in our dryer vent when it was installed.  The net result was dryer lint got caught in the screen and accumulated over time to the point that it literally plugged our verticle dryer vent and actually burnt out the heating element in our dryer.  Tony and Micaela came to the rescue.  Great Job!   Many Thanks.

After reading a lot of horror stories about dryer lint fires, I recently tried to clean out our dryer vent using a long brush thing I bought online. (You attach it to your drill.) The vent hadn't been cleaned since we moved in 8 years ago. I got a ball of lint the size of my head out of the vent from the dryer side, but nothing out of the vent on the outside of the house, which worried me.
Finally gave up and googled "dryer vent cleaning" and found Vent Sharks. They didn't have any reviews on Angie's List but I also couldn't find any dryer vent cleaners who did have reviews. So I decided to call them and see how they sounded.
I called Vent Sharks and got their voicemail. I left a message requesting service and they called back right away and seemed very professional. I decided to hire them. Their regular fee is $70 for cleaning, which let me tell you, having tried to do it myself, is worth every penny.
They showed up on time (actually a little early). They identified where our dryer vent came out (on the roof) which was not where I thought. Turns out I had been "cleaning" a bathroom vent on the outside of the house. They got up on the roof to make sure their brush got all the way to the end of the vent system.
They also noticed that the vent from our dryer had come loose inside the wall, which could fill the wall with flammable lint. With our permission they cut the drywall open and fixed the vent connection. They didn't even charge us for the repair.
Tony and Micaela did great work. In fact, they went above and beyond the basic job and were really easy to work with. I already have Vent Sharks on our calendar for next year. I will definitely use them for annual vent cleanings from now on.
