I?ve used Jackson Automotive before with outstanding results, and they always seemed to be an honest company that really tried hard to fix your car right the first time.  However, back in October, I brought my Jeep Grand Cherokee in because I was getting a warning on my menu screen that the transmission was overheating, and I had a leak that I suspected was transmission fluid.  I also requested that they fix the pinon bearing in the rear differential because they had mentioned previously that it should be replaced.
Jackson Automotive had my car for two and a half weeks, in which time I thought they were working on it.  I went in after a week to see what was going on with my Jeep because I hadn?t heard from them at all, and was told that my rear differential was just making
noise and that there was no damage being done to it.  I was told that they could try replacing it to see if that would stop the noise, but it was expensive and could still make the same noise.  I decided not to have them do the replacement, because I was
explicitly told that THERE WAS NO DAMAGE, and that Jackson had gone over it time and time again to make sure.
I left the Jeep there again to see if they could find what was going on with the transmission. Another week and a half goes by without hearing from them at all, and by this time, I needed my car back.  I went in and was told that they couldn?t get the Jeep to give them the same warning, even after driving it all over, from Fountain to northern Colorado Springs, but couldn?t get the car to replicate what I said it was doing.  It almost sounded like they didn?t believe me when I said that it was telling me the transmission was overheating, and didn?t bother to check any potential causes.  As for the leak, it seemed like it was ignored, because I asked about it, and just got dismissed.  So I had them do an oil change at least, and took my car home, thinking it was ok to drive around in it.
Fast forward to two months later, my transmission starts going out while I?m driving, shifting into park while driving down the road.  After having the car gone for almost three weeks the last time I went to Jackson, I decided to take it to my parent?s
mechanic.  In three hours, they were able to determine that the transmission was beyond repair and would have to be replaced, and they found extensive damage to the rear differential.  They also found that the transmission cooler pump had gone bad, and that?s the leak I was seeing.  Funnily enough, they told me if I didn?t get that fixed, my transmission would go out again.
In other words, if Jackson Automotive had done the extensive diagnostics and looking that they said they did, the bad
transmission cooler pump should have been found, and my transmission might have been saved.  I trusted Jackson
Automotive before, but after replacing two major parts that I had specifically asked them to check, I will not be using them again.

This is the second vehicle Jackson Automotive has repaired for me with the same outstanding results. I had front brakes, rotors, and bearings replaced on my van by another provider. Three months later it started making noise, due to the fact I just had the front end reworked I assumed it had to be the rear axle. I ask Dan to rebuild the rear axle, put new ball joints on it and anything else it needed. Dan called and said the rear axle was fine, I insisted it had a problem. He opened it up and assured me it was fine. I was not convinced. He started work on the front end ball joints and found a bad bearing on the left front that had also ruined the spindle. After all the work was done on the front end the van sounds great. Bearing problem was caused by the other provider over-tightening the lock nut. Dan could have rebuilt the rear axle as insistent as I was and I would not have questioned him. Shows me his honesty and shows he will not do unnecessary work. Dan has my vote as the most honest mechanic I have ever met. Honest mechanics are like honest politicians they're hard to find. Dan will do all my work from now on no matter how simple it might seem. No more other companies. Thanks Dan P.S His wife in the office is absolutely the best.

Jackson Automotive installed a new clutch, slave cylinder and rear seal while he had the transmission out to rebuild it. Everything went very well. They are a top class mom and pop shop. I have had some bad experience's in the past and it was a pleasure to find someone in the auto repair business that is honest, reliable and does what they say they will do. They will be the shop I take all my vehicles to. After I brought my 94 f150 home we noticed a leak from the bell housing and assumed it was the rear seal, it turned out to be the new slave cylinder Jackson Automotive took it back in replaced the factory defective part and got me back on the road. if you need an honest, friendly shop give them a try you wont be sorry. I live in North east Colo. Springs they are in South Fountain, and I would drive to Pueblo for this type of service.

The service was pretty good. I liked the company. I don't know anything about the cars and I bought a new one. My old one was having some problems often enough. They checked the belts that were not working properly, and they said there was nothing wrong and it looks great. They are awesome people. They are really friendly. They are great with the customer service. They are really good. I decided that I will not use them because I bought a new car and will be taking it to the dealer.

Dan is a complete professional. He communicated clearly with me and quoted me the exact price before any work was performed. He showed me the old parts, completed the repairs right on time and did an outstanding job. My van was cleaner when I picked it up then it was when I took it in. I use Jackson Automotive for all of my company fleet vehicles as well as my personal vehicles. This is the automotive service you can trust and the owner who truely cares about his customers.
