They arrived exactly when they were supposed to and worked all day, they had a lot of delicate chipping to do by hand when removing my old concrete because most of my patio is lined with beautiful rocks, like huge chunks of rose quartz and some petrified wood...things I consider valuable. None of those rocks got harmed or moved. They were very polite whenever I went outside to check on things and they were neat--no cigarette butts or even smoking in my yard. The yard was free of any trash or debris when they left each day (2.5 days of work). They checked in with me to tell me what they would be doing the next day and the timing. They also carried tools and such up from the street (I;m on a hill) so all their trucks didn't block the neighbor behind me--we're in a funky neighborhood with old houses close together and limited parking. Their price didn't change even after snow and ice thawed - I have a shaded yard near the mountains that doesn't thaw often in the winter and they couldn't see how difficult it was going to be working around all my decorative rocks. But they didn't complain or modify our original price or plan. The owner comes to the site to check on the work and is easily accessible and helps you make design choices with the space and budget you have available.
Description of Work: They completely removed my large concrete patio, apprx 35' long by 10-15' wide, plus a set of steps. They removed all concrete and debris and added gravel and some other fill type stuff (breeze?) and tamped it all down with a machine until everything was level. They poured concrete for the new patio and had wood forms all over to keep the concrete from spilling into the yard. They stamped the concrete into a paved walkway pattern that I had chosen, and then came back and added a stain to the top that I had chosen in a bronze-brown natural finish.
