Westers Roofing

I reached out to several contractors through Angie's List although Westers Roofing was a name given by a neighbor. John was right back to me, scheduled a time for an estimate and based on his references and estimate, we decided to have him complete the work. We had a check already from the insurance company but John advocated with the adjuster to get our skylights fixed. A good thing because the skylight in the family room leaked before it was fixed. We have a large house and there are 11 skylights. The crew came when scheduled, followed through with the job, all the clean up was done, and everything was great. John dealt with the City of Greeley and its cumbersome process at city hall re fees and inspections & explained how that billing occurred, etc. We had a great job done when he said it would be done. As a matter of fact, even though I took my time and checked out folks, my neighbors hired way ahead of us and still did not have their work done 30 days after mine was completed.

John Westers was very easy to work with. Pulled permits, upgraded shingles, prompt and helpful. Had to return to clean up - left nails. A large project but John's crew did it well.

They kept me informed of the start date and details by voice, text and emails. They took care of permitting and handled the necessary insurance claim contacts and submittals. This made the entire process much easier, quicker and much less stress.

John scheduled an appointment quite soon after my initial contact. He arrived a bit early, which I appreciated. He inspected my roof, explained several aspects of the construction to me, and, to my delight, told me the roof was in great shape and did not need any work. One may wonder why I'd write a review for someone who technically did not do any work on my roof. I felt compelled to write a review because I so appreciate John's responsiveness, professionalism and honesty in not trying to sell me something he felt I did not need. I will certainly use his company if I ever do need a new roof or repairs of any sort.

We had a hail storm on 6/15/2013. Several of the hailstones in our yard were baseball size but I couldn't see any damage. I called our insurance and an adjustor came out and informed us we needed a new roof. I pulled three roofers from Angie's List and ended up using Wester's Roofing. John Wester came out immediately and was friendly and knowledgeable. I was impressed when he told me he has had his current crew for thirteen years. Wester's Roofing was the obvious choice and it was just a week from the time I picked them to the time when the roof was done. John communicated the delivery time for the shingles and told me when to expect his crew on 7/9/2013 and they were right on time. The crew was friendly and polite and did a great job. Our roof looks fantastic. I cannot recommend Wester's Roofing highly enough.

This is the second time I've used John in the past couple of months, and I've been very happy both times. On this building they had to tear off two layers of roofing, add drip edges and I lost count of how many vents, since the building had NO venting for the attic. John explains beforehand what I need, is always on time, and has left the jobsites nice and clean.

I had an excellent experience. John was very responsive, easy to deal with, and educated me quite a bit. The work was done professionally and exactly when promised. The site was left clean. I have rental properties, and Westers will be doing my future roof work as well.

After attending the Greeley Home Show several weeks ago, we've been inundated with roofing companies wanting to come to our home to do a "hail damage assessment". As a matter of fact, one company left me 5 voicemail messages in a week! It hasn't really been a priority, but I decided that I'd check out the company on Angie's List. Well, they had no reviews. So, I decided to pick 2 roofing companies that did have great reviews and I emailed them. Basically, I mentioned that I had some roofing companies trying to strongly encourage me to let them come out and do a hail damage assessment. Well, even though John Westers lives near the Denver area, he contacted me back via email. Then, today, he emailed me that he was in Greeley doing another roof estimate and offered to stop by and assess my roof. Since I didn't have to be there, I agreed and gave him my address. He just called me back. He informed me that my roof did have some minor hail damage, but he doubted it was enough to warrant an insurance claim. He also stated that my roof probably has another good 10-15 years left on it. This is, of course, assuming no big storms or hail storms in the future. I was very impressed with John's honesty and integrity. He was up-front about the extent of any hail damage and definitely reassured me that my roof is good for at least another 10 years. Even though I don't need his services right now, I would strongly recommend him to others and will call him if, and when, my roof does need replaced.

They couldn't follow through with some of the comitments but it worked out OK. I had to deal with the workers myself with some issues during the installation (one kind of spoke english) because the owner was too busy taking of issues at another job. They did do a good job on reflashing the sky light windows but the way the chimney flashing doesn't look great but it doesn't leak. The owner complained that he wasn't making any money on the plywood underlayment and there was alot that had to be replaced. I guess he wasn't expecting to replace so much. A piece of the facia board on the gable end was damaged that they didn't notice. When I found the issue one of the workers came over and glued the broken piece of wood back in. Not desireable repair but it was December and the owner offered to review it in the spring if I wanted. I chose not to have them do anything with it. The owner is a nice guy but I was expecting him to be more involved during the job, but that's probably the way some roofing companies work these days using subcontractors.

They were on time each day and worked much more quickly than I thought was possible to get the job finished. When a falling board damaged our BBQ cover (not the grill itself), it was replaced without me asking (and by something that was higher quality than what we already had!). My only complaint is that one of the workers didn't review the job site with me daily and explain where they were in the process unless I asked. I would use this company again in a heartbeat - their work has held up well (we had it done a year ago) and they were polite, professional and helpful when I contacted them. Their prices were also very competitive.

Excellent service overall. John porovides personal contact service and a fast and competent crew. Great looking roof.

I thought I was going to have to replace my roof, because of some problems. John Wester responded to my house the same day I called, and was able to take care of my problems for a very reasonable cost, so that I can get some more years out of my roof. John is very professional, fair and timely. I would highly recommend his services.

John was amazing to do business with. I have a very small house, but had a few problems, such as a very low pitch on the back of the house where it had been leaking for years. Also, the house and original roof was built in 1918. The existing skylight was poorly installed by an amateur remodeler some years ago, and leaked with every rain or snowstorm. John knew what I needed and began work within a couple of days. He was extremely accommodating and answered his phone every time I called him. I had gotten 4 other estimates, some higher and some lower. But after talking to him, I was most impressed with his professionalism, and knowledge. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone needing roofing!

After the initial call, Wester's Roofing met me the following Monday. They walked the job site with me. They were knowledgeable about our town home development because they were one of the workers on the initial development. They made excellent suggestions on what to repair and what damage was cosmetic. They performed the work superbly and gave us an excellent price to complete the job. Very satisfied and would recommend Westers to homeowners and HOA developments alike. Very pleased at every level!

Very smooth from start to finish. I felt they were a little sloppy. When they pulled the nails off the old roof they dropped nails all over the lawn and patio and did not pick them up.

Our overall experience was excellent. They were here exaclty when they said they would be. They did the whole job in one day and they did not leave a mess. They cleaned up everything before they left. They did an excellent job and they used the highest quality shingles on the market and charged the same amount as they would for the middle of the road shingles.

This roofing company did a great job. The price was fair and the quality of their work was excellent.

A Westers Roofing team member arrived around 11:30 am (I called earlier the same morning to schedule the appointment) to inspect my father-in-laws roof that was damaged by strong wind. The roof is an older wood shake shingle material that is almost 30 years old. Many shakes had blown off along the ridge. There were also loose shakes throughout the roof. After the inspection, we were told the repair could be done for $50.00. It was just a matter of re-securing the wood shakes. Westers Roofing spent approximately 25 minutes on the roof fixing the loose shakes. During that time, he also walked the entire roof looking for further damage. In addition, he secured miscellaneous shakes that had blown loose over the years. In conclusion my father-in-law was impressed by Westers friendly approach and prompt attention to detail, so he requested a roof replacement estimate on a future date.

They did a fantastic job. They were very pleasant to work with. They gave me a quote and matched the quote. There were some issues with some tiles from the company and not them and they pushed the service and got the tiles in for me. Every year I get a Christmas gift on my front door from them, just a holiday gift. They were just really neat people. From the time they came till they left, they were wonderful. They were very efficient and they were done within a day. They came in, took care of it and were done and it was great. They followed up and called me.

We experienced fast service and ever had minor correction completed. I'm glad to have found a roofer that I can use for all my future needs. John Wester will be my designated go-to person from here on out.

To my relief, he said that there was no hail damage. Several of my neighbors are having their roofs replaced, I'm glad not to join therm. John was responsive to my questions and professional. He did tell me that there was a need for some minor repair (< $100) on the roof. He is very busy right now with roof replacements so does not have time for doing the repairs. He suggested that I call him in November or December. Since he knows the fellow who did some work on my roof in the past, he suggested that I call him to get the repair done sooner. Overall I am very impressed with John and I would not hesitate to call on him again. He struck me as an honest, and down-to-earth professional.

I had probably three roofers out here telling me I had hail damage. They were high pressure and out of Denver. I didn't find anything. I called John Westers and told him what I had and he said there is not even need for me to come out because I have a V-lock roof. I called an adjuster who was green and denied the claim. I told them I would pursue it and they said I needed a roofer out here when the second adjuster came out. I had John Wester come out and we got it worked out. John even went up the ladder with shingle samples to help me pick out colors.

Called John last night and told him my concerns with our roof. He gave me a ball park price for repairs. Westers roofing showed up on time. Inspected roof and performed repairs to correct standards. He kept the work site clean while doing repairs. Charged me fairly and did the work the right way.

I had shingles that were curled and some staples had popped up. He inspected it and told me that it would be better to leave it alone as he saw no major defects and any work done on it would cause breakage and more work. The roof has another 5 or more years left in it. He did put a piece of sheet metal under an area he thought was bad. Didn't even charge me for it. He will definitely be high on my list when I'm ready to replace the roof. Very honest.

Contractor gave recommendation and referral to another company he thought could better serve me.
