Warranty Companies - Non-Home, TV Repair
A Sony Bravia HD 42" TV was purchased with a three year extended warranty. The unit failed within the extended warranty time period. The unit is still not functioning due to the Mickey Mouse operations/procedures found through Ulitmate Electronics and their 3rd party service providers. The Ultimate Electronic's regional manager was made aware of the problem six days ago and was asked to contact me - he has failed to do so. From what I've been able to deduce, Ultimate Electronics relinquishes responsibility for providing service to products (or customer's) after the purchase has taken place. This is not the type of service I was told to expect. On the contrary, the Ultimate Electronics salesperson informed me when buying the unit that with the extended warranty plan, service would be provided at my home within two to three business days. It has now been 10 days and the unit is still inoperable.
