They told our renter they only use water when the clean. How does that get dirt and odor out of a carpet. Now it smells like wet urine. We paid for cleaning and deodorizing. WE really did not want the room to smell as bad as it does now.
I had just bought a townhome and was doing a lot of renovating in the main floor but wanted to keep the carpet on the second level. it was in pretty bad shape and needed some work. Stanley Steamer was referred to me by a friend. The whole process was easy I could only have them come in the evenings after 6:00 since that is when I got off after work and I couldn't have them do it on the weekend since that is when the contractor was going to be there so they were happy and able to do the service that worked for my schedule. They nicely covered their shoes so they would not track in anything from the outdoors, did the initial inspection of the carpet to look for problem areas and sprayed them as need be to remove tough stains. The carpet was transformed. There was a lot of black grime on high traffic areas from the previous owner and you couldn't even tell it was original carpet. I was very please with how nice the guys were and the exceptional job they did.
The house smelled when I entered and traced it to a bedroom.
I called the next morning and they agreed to come back the next afternoon. I had a work crew painting to let them in at 2pm but Stanley Steemer needed to speak to me so they called on my cell phone and said they needed an additional $27 (this after I had paid $255 the day before and $407 for the house I owned next door 29 days before).
I explained I was at a resort pool with my daughter without my wallet and could call them back with a credit card in 2 hours or they could access the records from the day before and charge me the $27.
They refused to do the work. I asked to speak with their manager but they would not give me his number. I then spent over 3/4 hour speaking to their main number with 3 separate calls trying to speak to ANY manager, but on July 1st at 2:30 pm they had all left for the holiday. The operator said he left a message and a manger would call me back that afternoon.
No one ever bothered to call back.
These guys are all about what is convenient for them, will up sell you additonal services and provide poor quality work. Don't believe any of those "cute" ads on TV
