"Thank you for the positive review! We appreciate your business. Jay Janicki"
Jay worked with us to get the trims for our interior trim carpenters and helped us in other areas too. He came highly recommended and we would recommend him highly also.
"Thank you for the positive review! We appreciate your business and love the challenge of helping to renovate older homes. Jay Janicki"
Select Wood Floors’ first work order was incorrect resulting in the team missing the stairs and the upper hallway. They returned to rectify it and missed the stair risers. Four weeks into the project, I requested the team return to finish the sun-room floor so we could move some furniture back into the house. They showed up unannounced at 8AM and completed the task. We waited 10 days before moving furniture. Immediately, a dining room chair gouged the floor. Jay told me it was because I had dust in the house. I did. However, I purchased the BONA high traffic, commercial so that we could live like a family. We have since placed felt on every piece of furniture and implemented a human shoes-off and dog nails clipped policy. Jay attempted to make up for my disappointment by offering an island step in the kitchen for free. Two weeks before the project was completed, Jay called and requested the remaining and frac12; payment leaving me no insurance of completion or accuracy. I told him “No”. In closure, the team came to our house 8+ times, each with a rough 8 hour window of arrival time to correct things. They left today after filling 2 holes with un-matching brown caulk. I was out of the room when they departed and they helped themselves to the check on the counter without my permission and were gone when I returned to the room. I truly feel exploited by how I, and my home were treated by Select Floors, not only because their owner, Jay, was argumentative and condescending towards women, but also because I felt the overall work was unprofessional.
"[removed member name], Thank you for your feedback and we appreciate your business. I’m sorry that we don’t see eye to eye on this situation. We have strived to provide superior products and services for the last 17 years. In isolated situations like these, we feel we did our best to accommodate your schedule and much of the extra work we did wasn't charged to you including a stair tread at the cost of over $700 you had sent a picture of. The final payment was discussed through email correspondence and you agreed that you would leave a check. Our men would be happy to come back to fix the caulking color of the two holes you are not pleased with. We are sorry you were unhappy with the process but hope you are happy with the final product. Sincerely, Jay"
Did an awesome job of moving heavy fridge and china cabinet....both off, and back on wood floors.
Would contract again.
