Great job, exceeded my expectations

Contacted the on call service number this Sunday morning as our furnace abruptly stopped working. Left message and a short time later got a call back from the on call technician Ernie. A short time after that Ernie came to the house, diagnosed the problem Found the replacement part on his truck and fixed the problem. Have used R&H before and always been pleased with them. Great company.

The estimator was very good, easy respectful, helpful. I called him on his cell 3 times while in the process of choosing a company and he answered everytime, and helped me answer my questions. They were the less expensive of the 3 companies I had give me estimates, and R&H was available for an install within 5 days, where the other companies were 2 and 3 weeks out from booking jobs. The installer was nice, on time, and very fast. He arrived at 9am and was done by 2 PM. The system runs great and I am 100% satisfied.

They came promptly and did a good job.  I have used them for some time and they are reliable and reasonably priced.

Everything went very smoothly. Ernie serviced my furnace this time and he had also serviced it two years earlier. I was extremely satisfied with the work performed. He arrived on time and was very business-like. I saw the items that he checked and he did a very thorough job. He also cleaned the unit. My furnace checked out fine.

He also inspected a humidifier attached to the furnace. This was not working properly and he recommended replacement. I have not scheduled this work yet, but expect to do so.

I am very satisfied with R&H.

The installation of a new Lennox EL296 furnace, plus humidifier, went pretty smoothly, taking about 7 hours. The bid was for a wired thermostat, necessitating the running of a second control wire so we could run the fan independently of the furnace. There were problems with getting the wire down through the wall however; so they offered me a wireless thermostat at cost. The installer was friendly and professional and cleaned up well after the installation. The city inspector found two items that needed to be addressed, both of which were the result of the old Pulse furnace installation 20+ years ago (building codes have changed since then). Rand H used the old Pulse intake and exhaust pipes, which were only one foot above grade where they left the house; current standards say they must be 22 inches above grade. Also, there was a capped 'Y' in the adjacent "orphaned" water heater ventilation pipe. The 'Y' needed to be removed altogether. Rand H came out very promptly and addressed both issues at no additional cost.

Rand H has been doing my furnace tuneups for several years, and has always done so thoroughly and professionally. It is one reason perhaps that my 20 year old Lennox Pulse is still ticking. This year it stopped working about six hours before the service person, Ernie, was to arrive. Pretty good timing. Ernie diagnosed that it was simply a blown fuse, replaced it and verified that it wouldn't just go ahead and blow out the new one as well. He was frank with me about the Pulse, that it could last another several years, but that Lennox had stopped making parts for it. He didn't make a hard sell; just gave me facts, which I appreciated.

They were able to fix our air conditioning where the previous person could not. So, I would say it was a very good experience.

I have had very good experience with them over the years. I called them for an estimate because I used other company for service call. They ended up charging me more. They gave me a lot of misinformation and told me I needed to replace my air conditioning so I called Rand H who I have used for years. The only reason I hadn't used them for this service call is because they weren't available and I needed somebody right away. They just said no you don't need an new air conditioning. The guy that came to give me the estimate is in a different department that I haven't used before does estimates and I was very impressed with him. I always had good experience with the service people. They are conservative. They don't charge you for the stuff you don't need. They don't give you misinformation. They do a good job on the service. I have used them since I owned my house which is like 1999 and you know my furnace is still running well and my air conditioning using their service. I would recommend them. Their prices are pretty reasonable. I would use them again.

for rebatesThe entire project was managed very well from start to finish. Great follow up on service with a visit to really dial in the furnace for our home conditions. We also had an energy audit done to qualify, this was done at a discounted rate as part of the high efficiency furnace rebate program. Bob really did an excellent job coordinating the entire process, he is an excellent communicator, we are very happy with their services.

They are technically competent and reliable. This company is timely and takes care of things on schedule without having to be reminded. I have been very pleased with the service they have offered over the years and will use them again in the future.

An unqualified person came along and said that they knew the problem and offered to charge the coolant level which now, at that time caused the air conditioning to turn off and nearly could not turn it on. It was the safety part that shut it down. We had to have them come out. They were very polite, they told us the dilemma and rather than checking the route of just bleeding out the fluid they suggested that since we do not know what the renters did, ours was a newer unit, they could have put in another kind of coolant which they could have put in by accident. They were not smart enough to do it right the first time but they could have put in the wrong coolant and the best option was to bleed the entire system of coolant which under all the new EPA regulation need to be done under close circuits so that it does not harm the environment. Then they replenished the full supply. Since we were doing that it would make sense to do some seasonal work on the Air conditioner and make sure that it would function for the rest of the summer. After all their work was done they cleaned up everything. They were very professional and explained everything along the process. Price wise, I do not know because it was the first time I owned an air conditioning unit since I was always in an area that did not need it. As for the quality of their work, everything was done wonderfully well. They were quick to respond. I will use them in the future.

They did excellent work. They realized that it may take them up to two hours to get to us and they let us know that they were on their way. They came promptly when they said they would. The communication was great and the service was good. We pay for service trips and so the cost is higher than it would normally be. There is always a trip charge for us.

Good.  On time and done properly and at a good price.
