The blinds arrived when expected and a day was set for installation. The installer showed up at the appointed time. It was obvious that he had done a number of blind installations in the past, as he was quite efficient in his work. During the course of the installation, it was discovered that one blind was not the correct size and would have to be reordered. Fortunately, it was in an area that was somewhat isolated, so it didn't matter that much. The blind has not arrived as of this writing, but is expected to show up next week and will be installed when it is.
We feel that InsideOut knows their business and our experience was a good one overall. We have only one criticism - the order should have been screened before it was taken to our house for installation. Had that been done, the wrongly-sized blind could have been discovered earlier. But this is relatively minor in our view.
I would recommend this company if you are looking for blinds for your house.

o worries, The installation, all be it 2 weeks later than I was originally told to expect, went well. It was the following communications that have disappointed me. I asked the install guy if someone could email me the prices for the shutters for two more rooms in the house. He told me he would.
5 days went by and I still had not heard anything regarding the prices for the next set of shutters I wanted, nor did I get contacted regarding the second half of the payment for the master shutters.
After two weeks of calls, emails and messages to this company, with still no response, I decided to go into their store.
To say the guy was complacent, patronizing and quite incompetent is putting it mildly. It turned out thy had already gone ahead and charged my credit card for the second half payment without telling me they were going to do it and when. I finally got hte guy to print our payment receipts of other shutters I had installed a couple of months ago too.
I am not quite sure if these people have every heard of the concept of "sense of urgency" or customer service/customer satisfaction.
Regardless, I shall not be spending more money with these guys and I will not be recommending them to anyone else.

"We at Inside-Out strive to accomodate our customers needs on every order. Hunter Douglas shutters are custom made to each applications exact specifications. This process is time consuming and the shutters are manufactured in Arizona. The Master Bedroom project was Member's second shutter order through our company, the first being completed to her complete satisfaction which is why we received the second order. From the first time I spoke with Member the process was clearly spelled out as I always do with shutter orders; once the order is placed the time frame is three to five weeks from then to the installation. The Master Bedroom shutters were ordered by me on October 21 and installed November 21. We even rearranged other customers installation times in order to squeeze her install in before Thanksgiving. And just as on the first order when I finished the installation and had her OK the job I asked if we could run the balance on the same credit card. She approved and that is what we did. As far as the estimate for a third project goes Member had from the get go an accurate estimate for each window in the whole house from day one. Being a small business (three full time employees) we constantly have to work on communication both between the customer and ourselves in order to best serve the customer. Not making excuses we did drop the ball on that portion of her complaint and I am very sorry for that. The sense of urgency is something we deal with all the time since we are generally the last phase of most remodel projects. However, unrealistic customer expectations and previous delay from other subcontractor are a reality that is always present on a large remodel project."
