Fort Collins Skin Clinic

This review is for the Drake office of the Skin Clinic in Ft Collins. I appreciated getting a quick appointment. I'd been suffering with eczema for many weeks and had made two visits to my GP and had been on 3 different treatments (2 topical treatments and 1 oral treatment). I saw the PA and her assistant. I found them to be extremely brief, patronizing, and disinterested. They didn't even really look at my skin but just took down the very basics of what the issue was (eczema - check), where it was occurring (legs, neck, arms, torso, back...I could go on but they cut me off). No conversation - they said they couldn't speak to what kind of eczema or any complicating factors until they had "worked it up" which turned out to be code for taking biopsies. This was maybe 5 minutes into the exam. Took 2 biopsies and shoved detergent and lotion samples at me. Told me to keep using the topical steroid that is irritating the eczema and actually hurts when I put it on the rash - said its not effective until you have been using it for two weeks (give me a break - it doesn't take a genius to stop using something that inflames an already irritated skin). Total time about 15 minutes. Cost $375.

The procedure went very well, done with competency and caring.

My children used to go to the Youth Clinic before we moved out of state. I have always been very satisfied with the service. Our doctor was very kind and competent, yet never alarmist. The facility is very nice and inviting. It's not crowded and always kept clean. Good puntuality overall. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone who asks me.

The front office was very professional and the Dr. was great.

Dr. Kalajian was very knowledgeable and had good bedside manner. He found good solutions for all my problems.

I have gone to the skin clinic for years, as well as my siblings. Tiffany and her nurse are awesome. Tiffany spends time in the room, looking and talking about options. She makes sure that insurance will cover the medication, and if it doesn't she will get a different sent to the pharmacy ASAP.
The office staff is a different story. They are rude, inconsiderate and make you feel like an inconvenience for making an appointment. They are not flexible for people taking accutane. The book out over a month in advance. When you ask to be put on the waiting list they wont.

It was fine, overall. I would go there again.

I filled out my paperwork ahead of time and arrived at the office for my first visit. I had to wait for a few minutes while I was processed but was then shown back to an exam room and spoke to the doctor's assistant. The doctor came in a few minutes later and had a good understanding of my past medical history from reading my records. We discussed my prior treatments, what had worked and hadn't worked, and where I wanted to go. He explained a lot of different options and helped determine a plan for me going forward. He was incredibly informative and made me feel so much better than my previous dermatologist! He told me more about the medication I was on than the dermatologist that had described it! I look forward to returning to FCSC now that they know me and I'm working with them!

Things went well. It took months to get in for an appointment so I was pleased that things were taken care of then and that time.
I didn't have to make a second appointment.

The appointment was thorough and timely. I was scared to have moles removed but Arron was skilled and gentle. The appointment ran long because he took the time to answer numerous questions I had in a thoughtful and considerate manner. Excellent visit from the time I walked in the office to the time I left. Excellent staff.

Aaron McGrew took a very straightforward approach in treating the acne. He was clear about the risks and expense involved so we could make an informed decision. He spent lots of time with us at the first appointment to be sure we fully understood the treatment, and he patiently answered our many questions. The treatment has been exactly as he described, and the acne is clearing up beautifully. There have been a few unpleasant side effects, but they are exactly what we expected thanks to Aaron's thorough explanation at the beginning of treatment. We are so grateful to have found Aaron!

Dr Kalajian has the best bedside manner of any doctor I have seen in my 64 years. He was very professional and reassuring, and his facial surgery is a true art form. Not even a tiny scar remains!
