The deck refinish looks great. Dennis was easy to communicate with and did a very thorough job in prepping and staining the deck. We are very happy with the quality of the job.

Dennis is kind, respectful, professional, prompt, and gets the job done at a more than fair price. His work is quality and he is a perfectionist. I am grateful that I can count on him to get the job done right, when I don't know what my requirements should be. He does, and he makes sure that it's done the way it should be. He not only completed planning and installing a ramp, but railing, and handicapped bars in our bath, and railing in our hall and stairs for my husband. We will have him back as soon as he has time again.

We have dealt with seven different contractors over the past year doing various projects. Our experience with Dennis Scholl Construction was by far the best. He gave us a prompt and complete proposal. He made excellent suggestions as we were deciding on the details. He told us when he would arrive and was there when he said he would be. He put protection down on all of the carpets and cleaned everything up perfectly before he left each day. The job was finished exactly when Dennis said it would be. One reason we chose Dennis was because he would take care of everything: buying materials, carpentry, staining and painting. The new stair railings turned out beautifully -- even better than we had hoped. The craftsmanship was amazing! Once Dennis said he was done, we could not find a single thing that needed to be touched up. He refused to let us pay him until we had inspected it in the daylight. And the most impressive part: the final bill was LESS than the original proposal! We will definitely be calling Dennis first for our next project.

I hired Dennis to remove my old staircase (the treads were only 9" deep) and replace it with full 11" treads and matching railings. This also involved modifying the headspace, an under-staircase closet, and reconfiguring a landing (my house has...interesting...construction). The work is excellent, and was as minimally invasive as possible. Aside from the work itself, Dennis was very personable, professional, and a very nice guy overall. He was very responsive during the evaluation and bid process, had no budget overages, and kept me appraised of status and any potential issues throughout the process. tl;dr: I would highly recommend Dennis Scholl for any home renovation projects.

Dennis worked almost every minute. He actually eat his sandwich after he stood up working on the fence. Maybe 3 bites and he went back to work. I didn't have enough materials to finish my windows. Dennis recommended where I could order the wood and let me know there would be an extra set up fee when the wood was custom cut. If i need help again I will call him. I was extremely happy with the repair work that Dennis did around my duplex. The repair on my bannister was better than any prior carpenter had been able to accomplish and should hold up nicely in my rental property. In addition, he did multiple fix up jobs including fixing bi-fold doors, and building a new base under a sink that is more durable than the original. Dennis does very precise work to very high standards that he sets himself. Dennis arrived on time, is very professional, and does outstanding work for a fair price! I would certainly call him first for future projects.

Dennis did an excellent job repairing my cedar fence and redwood deck. This included removal and replacement of posts, pickets, and rails on the fence, and repair of handrails, steps on the deck prior to restaining. Attention to detail and timeliness was perfect.
