TV Service - Cable
Put the TV and internet on a 'vacation hold" and was assured we could contact them on our return 12/25 (a holiday).
Came home and the TV worked, but no internet. Called and got the internet to work, but the TV died. Repeated calls to their 800 number wanted us to give serial numbers of equipment, which they already had on file. Online chat didn't work. Was on hold for 30 minutes with a technician, and then disconnected. Finally on the 4th phone call (over 6 hours), we were told we had to contact the billing office on 12/26.
Called the billing office the next day and she was able to instantaneously restore the TV service, and offered to give us one additional day credit and a free movie. We felt this was insufficient compensation for wasting 6 hours of our Christmas day. When asked to speak to a supervisor, we were never connected. When asked to leave a message, we did, but are still waiting (4 days later) for a return call.
