Doug is a very nice guy and does do a good job on the front end, but promises what he can not deliver. He was supposed to do our drywall and painting. He got about 1/3 of the drywall job done but then our job got delayed by 3-4 days (not Doug's fault) which threw him off his schedule. But then when we got back on track, he said he would have worker X on the job at 8:00 am Thursday. X did not show and Doug said X would be there the next day. X did not show again so Doug said he was going to fire X. Okay, but he did not have other reliable people to take care of the drywall so I found some one else to do the drywall which would take another week. So I told Doug we would be ready to paint 9 days later. He said he would handle it. I requested that he give me specifics on who would show and when. About 3 days ahead of start date he said that X would be there to start painting. Ergo, he did not fire X as he said he was going to. Having already been burned by his X promise twice, I decided to fire Doug. He misled me one more time after that confirming that I had made the right choice to move on.

A nightmare. Job was not started by date specified on contract. FALSELY advertised they were a member of the Better Business Bureau which they were not. Chose the company because I needed the house painted within a particular time frame and it was important to me for contractor to be a member of the Better Business Bureau. Had to take the company to court. They did not even abide by the terms settled in court. The worst business experience my husband and I have ever had. Lies, lies, lies.

1. Hard to get them to start the job...gave me the impression that they did not have a handle on scheduling
2.They were suppose to do standard prep work (wash siding, wire brush
pealing paint along the bottom edge of siding, caulk).  As far as I
could tell they never washed the siding, I had to request wire brushing
and caulking and even then they only did the obvious spots...they did
not do a comprehensive preparation job.
3. They were suppose to do two coats...not clear to me how they can put two coats on in one day.
4. Had to request return after they had finished the job to fix uneven paint coverage on the siding.
5. Although the prices was right, the old adage applies...'you get what you pay for'

Contractor recommended that 3 or more sample of exterior paint be place on house to insure the color was selected before the house was painted.  just before the house was painted the contractor and the owner made a phyical inspection of the house and agreed upon what was to been done and what brand of paint was to be done.  The owner selected the desired paint and then the house was painted in 3 days.  The contractor forefilled painted the house and stainted deck as contracted.  Owner made a walk around and pointed out touchup spots that were quickly corrected.
The owner is happy with the results.
