Window Service

It went poorly. The sales lady lied to me when I asked about installers being Champion employees or sub-contractors. I don't work with subcontractors and the reasons came into full view on this job. They didn't order the correct glass panes for a window next to the door so that had to be replaced after the initial install. Four of the triple-panes had imperfections in between the panes which couldn't be cleaned and had to be replaced after the initial install.. Initial Installers: They rushed to get 9 windows replaced in one day and finished at dark, so I couldn't inspect anything. The next day revealed numerous issues. They left the job without cleaning the windows at all. They broke one of the frames during the install. They smeared the expandable foam insulation all over the siding and didn't wipe it off, so when it dried it was a mess. At least one of the windows didn't get insulated and that was discovered when it had to be replaced. One of the replacement panes broke in transit so I had to wait another 2 months for that one pane. To get everything fixed it took over 10 months from the initial install. But they did finely fix the issues. Their communication and timelines were poor at best. And their internal communications are poor. To get things done I had to file a complaint with the BBB, other wise I'd still be waiting for my windows to get fixed. They do have two "actual" install/repair employees who are great (Todd and Don). And their install manager (Lou) is very friendly and thorough when he came out to inspect the windows after I called in to tell them about the issues. In retrospect, I wouldn't have used them had I known about the sub-contractor installers.
