This contractor, Jeff Burnell, has skills, but his overall attitude and work ethic is extremely poor.  There were MANY occasions where he would become agumentative and yell at me, take anything and everything personally (even when I said nothing). He was pretty much unapproachable and any mature conversation was not possible.  His working hours were 9am-2:30pm (with a 1hour break), so job took much longer to complete than needed.  Many times the work area was left "dirty" (trash in the yard, scap material strewn about, tools left on plants, etc) and when asked if he could be a little cleaner, the only response was "well, that's construction".   He also renig'd on allowing us to do some of the labor to save on costs, using the excuse that we didn't have the capabilities.
Although I am happy with the end product, the whole experience was overshadowed by the negative dealings with Jeff.  I would not recommend him nor use him again (I had a bathroom remodeling project, but will obviously source that elsewhere).
