The actual roofing work went quite well on October 2, 2014. The crew was on time and did the roof in 1 day. We are happy with how it looks, and hopefully it will keep us dry.
The gutters were supposed to come a week after the roof, but we were told it would be 3-4 weeks. We didn't hear anything so we called after 4 weeks and were told Nov. 6th for gutters. No one showed up. After it snowed and we were struggling with ice on our front porch we were finally promised gutters on Nov. 25th. They did the work in a few hours.  Looks good now.

Very rude employees from the workers to the supervisor to the boss, showing no respect for the homeowner. I live in a town home and the roofing work was ordered by the HOA so I had no input on the scheduling and there was no notification of the exact days the roofing work was to be done. When I saw the roofing materials had been delivered, I called the the man identified as the project manager on the flyer posted on my front door, and told him my son was having major surgery and would be recuperating at my home for several days. When I gave him the dates he told me not to worry that the work should
be completed before that time. Instead the workers showed up within the first hour after we returned from the hospital. I had several discussions with the project manager, the workers and the supervisor, all of whom told me that their boss advised them to roof my unit that day no matter what. I was told he would be contacting me but he never did. The project manager told me that, even though I am the homeowner, I had no authority to keep them off my roof. After several heated confrontations they did move on to other town homes in the complex that day and the next but then started on my roof at 7:45 AM on Saturday. After 3 1/2 hours of pounding directly above my recovering son who was trying to sleep, I asked the supervisor how much longer it would take them to finish. He was very belligerent and told me it would be another 3 hours even though I finally got him to admit that all they had left was the flashing, which would take under an hour. The work on my complex was not actually scheduled to be completed until the next week, so they easily could have done the work on my unit the following Monday, which was what I initially requested.
The whole ordeal added much stress to an already stressful situation. This rudeness and lack of respect likely trickles down from upper management. All I wanted was to have a civilized discussion with someone who would understand the situation, show some sympathy and offer to complete my unit the following week, while they were still working on other units in my complex, even if it meant going out of order. However, despite repeated requests, no one stepped up, which indicates that belligerence, rudeness and lack of respect is likely the culture of the company. I would not recommend hiring Affordable Roofing and Restoration.

The person who came to my house and provided the bid was extremely helpful, including corresponding with my insurance company on items that were under-estimated on the adjustor's report. During the job (which took two days), the project manager visited the site several times to make sure all was going well. The crew worked efficiently and cleaned up afterwards. Once the crew finished, the project manager visited one last time to make sure everything was in order and to answer any questions. I'm 100% satisfied with the company on all aspects of the job, especially considering that many homes were damaged in the storm and they had a huge volume of jobs to deal with, all at once.

The estimator was punctual and went over the bid and their process. Sent the bid in a timely manner.
Upon acceptance of the bid I was assigned an excellent project manager and the estimator also followed up.
Due to the weather the job had to be postponed and Affordable always called and communicated with me about the rescheduled dates. The shingling crew was on time and very considerate of the exterior areas. Did a very good job, and the questions I had were answered quickly. The clean up was done everyday and at the end. The gutters were also delayed do the weather and the gutter installer called with updates. The gutter crew did an excellent job and made some suggestions that did not cost extra that got the water away from the foundation.
The shingle mfg. Warrantee information was delivered and explained. Also came with a 2 year complete warrantee from Affordable roofing. Called a few months after completion to follow up.
There price was about $900 less than the best of the 5 bids I got.
This was an excellent job and a company I would recommend.

Very well. They were professional and pleasant. They were concerned about our inconvience and did all they could to minimize it. We failed the test twice. They strived to do the job fully while creating the least amount of additionally.

We had a couple scheduling issues just because there were so many people getting roofs replaced in our area, but they did a good job of keeping me updated on the situation. The workers were very conscientious about picking up the nails afterwards, which I appreciated because of my two dogs. They did a great job and it looks wonderful.

I've had a few issues and initially they were prompt to respond and repair. I'm now 3-4 years out on my warranty and the shingles are starting to curl due to ventilation issues. Before I blew insulation into the attic, I asked the roofer about soffet vents. I said the house wasn't venting and the down drafts were excessive. My insulation guy waited for them to install them but then by October 2010, we blew in 22" of insulation.

The winds up here are excessive and the pressure in the house became so intense that I had migraines. Finally, the roofer came over to witness the double attic door suck up every time I opened the back door. So they removed one turtle vent and stood by their claim that the house was vented properly.

In 2012 and 2013, they repaired a leaky boot and flashing that blew out the front of the house from the tornado winds that were going on in my attic (the air had to find some way out). I've since had multiple shingles curl up and a leak in the back of the roof where more flashing separated and soaked my laundry room ceiling. I got up there and caulked myself and tore down and replaced my entire laundry room ceiling at my own expense.

TI continued to call them every other month for help and appealed to the BBB and the Roofer's Association for intervention. They did finally send a guy named Ty over to walk the roof and repair curling shingles but the ridge at the top of the roof is still curling and the soffit vents (they put in 1 in 2012 and I put in 3 more) are insufficient and aren't baffled properly in the attic. I guess they don't "do" soffit vents or baffles which means I have to pay another several hundred dollars to resolve this ventilation issue before the roof fails. Already, it looks like a 10 year roof instead of barely a 4 year roof.

Inspection and scope of damage was performed professionally
Some delay in completing work required. However, work performed to my satisfaction and contractor was very informative regarding other hail damage repairs needed.

I would recommend them with no problems. They did an excellent job and they have a pretty reasonable price. They were recommended by my insurance agent. I probably could have used another company to be a lot cheaper, but they were totally professional so I didn't mind paying a little bit more.

Great job, highly recommend. Insurance company paid for roof repair vice replacement. No pressure from Affordable Roofing to replace the roof, they replaced the damaged shingles for agreed insurance estimate.

The entire process, from the estimate through completion of the work and including billing was performed in a timely and professional manner. All employees of Affordable that I dealt with were punctual, helpful, and knowledgeable. I had a few unique requests that were handled very well. For example I needed to have the sky light on my roof replaced and Scott Daigle measured and ordered the sky light and made sure that the project manager was aware of this added job. The project manager was punctual and explained the entire process. He met with me after the roof was replaced to go over any concerns or questions. Finally the billing and notification of my insurance company was taken care of by the office staff; I had my insurance reimbursement before my bill arrived. The entire process was completely effortless for me which is what I liked the best. I’d recommend Affordable to anyone!

It took several days to complete the job. I would come home and find things had happened that I was assured would NOT happen. Like damage to plants up close to my house and my grass. Pieces of roofing and nails on my patio, and in my flower beds, and on my grass. They were supposed to blow all the little asphalt balls off the patio, porch, and driveway. They did not do a stellar job of it. I had to wash my patio off to get rid of it. Then I come home a few nights after they left for the last time and there is a ladder attached to the front of my house, in the area of my 3 car garage. I was supposed to get a call the day before, letting me know it would be there. Surprise! No one called, so I called them. They explained that the City of Fort Collins roof inspectors do not have ladders and the roofing companies have to supply them. So here I had a ladder, attached to the front of my house. I told them I would not be held responsible if someone climbed up on my roof and fell off, or damaged anything. If they couldn't find the time to meet the inspector, (they all have cell phones) I would not be held responsible if someone stole the ladder either. Two days later the ladder was gone. I didn't hear anything from the company. I hadn't received my final invoice, so I called the office and left a message for the rep that first came out and gave me an estimate. That's when I found out my roof DID NOT pass inspection the first time. I don't really know why not, but 2 men came out one night after 5 pm several days after the ladder disappeared, told me it didn't pass and got up there and replaced a few tiles. At least ten days went by before another ladder appeared. Surprise! It was there for 3 days before the city came out and finally passed the roof. Then the roofer tried to blame the problem on my painters, saying that they scuffed those tiles by walking on it in the heat. I specifically asked the roofers prior to work starting, which would be better, paint first, or roof first. I was told it wouldn't make any difference as long as they weren't there at the same time. Then about two weeks after the last men were there I receive an invoice in the mail. It shows the wrong amount and it shows that I am late 30-60 days already!!!!! When I called the office I told the woman I had been charged for work that was done by a different company. It was an air conditioning company that I paid to comb out the damaged parts on my condenser. I also mentioned the fact the invoice showed I was late, and I had just received it for the first time the day before. I requested a correct invoice be mailed to me and my insurance company. She said, "Well, obviously the invoice is incorrect then where it shows payment being late. She was very nasty, wouldn't pull my "records" and discuss the "possible" overcharge with me at that time. She said she would have to check into it and call me back. Four days later, I received a revised invoice with the correct amount on it, and this time I was showing 60-90 days late. She never called me back at all. Just mailed the invoice. No apology, nothing. This new invoice was dated September 6th, 2011. I got it on the 8th. I paid it by mail on the morning of the 22nd. When I got home from work that night, I got another invoice, you guessed it, showing payment was late! These people need more training in customer service and communication skills with each other and the customers. I chose this company because I was a new member to Angie's List of Fort Collins and they had an A rating. I dislike doing business with people that promise you things and do not deliver. That's why I joined Angie's List, to look for a dependable roofing company. The hail storms we had in mid-June did a lot of damage in my neighborhood. I would be willing to bet there have been 30 or more roofs replaced, six on my street alone! The roofing companies were canvasing the neighborhood drumming up business, promising free inspections, etc. They were coming from as far as Denver Metro area, trying to get business. I remembered Angie's list and went online and joined. This was my first experience using Angie's List and it wasn't what I was expecting after seeing the TV ads. I am disappointed with the entire experience.

I got about 3 quotes from companies on this list (Affordable was one of them) and 2 others that were recommended to me "word of mouth". I chose Affordable Roofing because of professionalism and price. They were unbelievably professional, personable, reacted quickly to questions, and were patient and understanding that I was searching for a roofer. I told all the prospective contractors I was shopping and getting quotes, and Affordable came in well below the others in price, by thousands. The owner came out and met with me about the job, my options, and even some added protective benefits (in high snow collection area) included in the price that no one else even mentioned to me. This was all before the job started. I was told when the work was to be done and how many days it would take. Other than a brief rain delay here in early June, the job was done exactly as I was told. They called during the rain (before they started working) to make sure everything was ok (which it was as I knew there was no leaks, but they were just checking). I was given brochures of different types of shingles and pricing options but no pressure and a true desire to try and educate me and give me what I requested. Communication with them was easy and timely.
When the work started it was done in two days. We have a steep roof pitch with difficult access to clean around the house. My wife was worried about this potential mess with nails and old wood shakes around the house. Affordable put down tarps and collected all debris and at the end of day 1 they had cleaned the debris and we could hardly tell they had been there; and on day 2 they installed the shingles. They worked hard, it was loud and all that, but they made it as easy as we could expect. The crew that came out to actual install the roof were friendly as well. They even added a two vents by the end of the job (as the house had minimal attic vents) and didn't charge me. The roof looks great and we are pleased. The owner came out and did a final inspection, I happened to be there and we walked the perimeter, he checking for debris and missed nails (there weren't many) and then he got on roof and inspected it. He said the blg inspector comes out this week.

I am very pleased with the work. I love angies list and have gotten my last two major contractors (pluming and heating and roofing) from this list.

We are in a very high risk area due to fire, hail, and wind and we had a high quality roof put on for this reason. We wanted to take advantage of a lower home insurance rate by having a good roof put on. They were great! They came out promptly. They gave us an estimate and stuck to what they said they would charge. They were very tidy and called back to make sure we were happy with the installation. They paid very close attention to every detail.

They quickly got us a quote, and followed-up and was able to schedule the roof repair within 1 week. They were 1-day delayed due to bad weather, but came and quickly replaced the roof in 1-day. Complete clean-up and protected garden. My only complaint is that they were a little pushy in wanting to see our insurance quote which I declined. I requested 2 other companyies to provide quotes and they were similar. All were well rated by BBB & Angie's list.
