What a mess! The ceiling fan still clicks and shakes, the closet doors are hard to close and don't close all the way. The concrete on the back porch is cracked and flakes off even after ABD had the first pour ripped out and replaced. The shop floor 40 ft long has a 1+ ft drop from the back to the front making it impossible to put tool boxes, shelves or tables in without using blocks to level each item. The shop was to be completely finished, they didn't install trim and put wiring in the bathroom on top of the drywall for the heater. They never missed collecting money, but the quality is a big miss! I wouldn't recommend ABD to build or remodel anything!

The project supervisor was the owner's nephew, which in come cases might not be a bad thing. Our biggest gripes are of the quality of work/service; a window was hung out of square, the added floor slab isn't level with existing floor, and stair work not square or flush with abutted walls. 
The company never responded to email or phone calls when I complained. If ABD was as insistent on our satisfaction of work performed as they were in demanding payment, it might sit better with us. We would not recommend them.

This problem was really traumatic. The north wall of the house was essentially rotting out from under us, was unhealthy, and HAD to be fixed. We had been aware of the leak down there since we had moved in, and tried to fix it many times, always unsuccessfully. Having professionals take care of it was _so_ reassuring. ABD is a completely honest and reliable remodeling firm. They _never_ failed to come when they said they would. The job manager was easily available -- Adam Miller, my job manager, gave me his cell number, and I could reach him just about any time. They like to have all the things they're going to need to complete the job in hand before they start, so that you don't spend weeks torn up while waiting for things to arrive. That was especially wonderful about the kitchen upgrade. It was really quickly done.
The way Bob dealt with our leaky window problem was wonderful. He is an honest and trustworthy man, and I think very highly of him. At a very difficult time in my life, he took a huge problem off my shoulders.
They are not cheap; but they do it _right_, and that's much more important to one's peace of mind.
I can't praise them enough. They're great.

It was a wonderful experience. I like the fact that they use their design and build company. They walk you through from the very beginning of the project, and they are there holding your hands all the way until the last day. They have a construction project manager on site everyday; so there is someone to answer all your questions and help you with your fears with what is going on.

We interviewed 10 different companies to take on our significant project, and ABD was, by far, the most professional company we found. They really listened to the things we wanted, and designed a plan that worked for us. They were very patient when I freaked out a bit about how the cost was quite a bit more than we initially talked about, but the plan we ended up following was significantly different than what we had thought to do in the beginning. My house had a lot of weird stuff going on, but ABD figured out a way to deal with all of it. Everyone was a pleasure to work with every day, and everyone really knew their stuff. I love, love, love my new kitchen, and the basement is fabulous too. They are not cheap, but they don't do cheap work either. I highly recommend them.

From our first visit with ABD until the finish of the project it was smooth, good people to work with, good sub contractors who came and we were very pleased.
