While preparing my home for sale, I learned that the builder grade sump pump installed was inoperable. The day after the inspection, I called Father & Sons and even though it was after hours, I received a returned phone call that same day. The person that took my info over the phone was able to get me an appointment for Saturday, the very next day! On Saturday, Lorin came to my home, confirmed that I needed a new sump pump and even though he could have picked up something as cheap as what my builder put in ... he wanted to make sure that the replacement pump installed was a quality one. Lorin told me that he would pick the part up on Monday morning and would return to my home after he finished his first job. As promised, Lorin called before coming and showed up approximately 30 minutes later. From start to finish, he was very professional, personable and an absolute pleasure to deal with. Thanks so much for the quick response and repair work!!

The plumber arrived early. He did the work and didn't upsell the repair. Nice experience.

It’s unfortunate that my husband and I had a bad experience with this company. We negotiated a price with the vendor where the terms were that everything was included even refilling/closing the walls that needed to be open, the only thing that might have been extra is for the amount of hours it was going to take them to open one of the holes. The plumber came out to our location and fixed a water leak that was underground and let us know that it took them longer than they initially expected to open the hole so he needed to charge us extra. Everything was fine until there, I guess!

When we returned, one of our toilets downstairs was leaking! The hose inside the tank was not under water and the toilet flapper never closed so it started spewing water out of the top of the toilet. This happened when they turned off and on the house water supply to do their work yet they didn’t bother to check if everything was okay. The toilet ended up flooding our entire bathroom and we had to replace $200 worth of new drywall. By the way, we did not request to be reimbursed because we already were so frustrated.

Then to make matters worse, our garage was left with a huge hole in which the new piping was placed. We knew that this was not the terms we had previously negotiated, so we called the vendor to come back and fix it. The vendor in fact confirmed that the closing of the hole was included and they said that they left it open so we can take a look at the work they performed and that they were coming back the next day to fill it. The next day goes by and they didn’t show up nor bother to let us know they were not coming (my husband took off work to be there!). The following date they came back out to our location with foam spray (the one you can purchase at Home Depot- keep in mind it is a concrete wall) to fill in the hole that goes all the way through to the outside of our garage. This has costed my husband and I frustration, extra expenses, and overall extreme dissatisfaction.

There last comment was that since we were getting a great deal, they would need to charge us again. The point here is whether or not we are were getting a deal, which we don’t really know since they were the only ones we contacted, they made a commitment and negotiated a price with us but decided that for them to perform the terms of our agreement we needed to pay even more. We do not recommend this company.

Family business, very professional, good prices. My wife trusts them to come over when I'm not home. Great work done each time.

I have used them 2 times within a week. The last time was a last minute call on a Saturday with a flooding basement. Cam out same day and reaplced a sump pump that was no longer working. Every one at the company have been very professional and nice.  I will recommend them and use them again.

They came really quick and showed up right away, within an hour and a half after I called which was really nice.  They showed me how they did the job.  It was quite expensive but I was glad that they got it done.  They were very professional.

We always use Father and Son, they are great, professional, and polite. They clean up after the work is done with their own towels!

I called them on 4/21/14 at about 1 pm and Tony pulled up to my house @ 2pm. I could not believe the SERVICE... Fabulous and naturally there was no noises coming from the basement. I explained that about 12 years ago right after purchasing this house, I kept hearing a loud banging of pipes downstairs. at the time, I had a handy man that I was working with. He knew exactly what was wrong and replaced this valve and no more noise, and peace and quiet until Easter Sunday. I am really impressed with Father and Sons and any further problems I have I will call them!!!!

I had a terrific experience using Father and Sons Plumbing. Emily answered the phone immediately when I called and was able to send someone over within an hour. Tony arrived at the promised time and went beyond expectations to solve our problems (including calling Moen, making trips to Home Depot, Lowes, and Rampart Plumbing to find the parts we needed). He was professional and friendly (even to our dog!) and left everything in good order when the work was completed. I will definitely use this company again!

The service and the work couldn't have been better! We were taken care of immediately and the job was full service: pick-up, delivery, installation, testing, and haul-away of the old water heaters. The plumbers, Lorin and Tony, were excellent: professional, courteous, neat, and very conscious of taking care working in our home.

After he completed the job, he ran the sink water to check for leaks, there were No leaks.. He turned on the dishwasher to check for leaks, there were No leaks. He was professional, proficient and courteous.
He cleaned up the mess, as they always do.

When people ask me if I have a plumber, I say yes and recommend this company. Bill is affordable, honest, responsive, and professional. Everyone I recommend him to loves him as well. I think he's the best kept secret in town!

I have used them for all of my plumbing since 2008. They continually provide excellent service for all our needs and there is no reason to use anyone else. They can always come out the same day and no matter how big or small the job is, the cost is always reasonable and the job done right.

Start to finish, the experience was excellent. They picked up the phone on the first ring when I called, understood the issue and made an appointment for the next morning. They were early for the appointment, worked together quickly and efficiently to fix the problem, and cleaned up after themselves where they had to cut into a ceiling to get access. They were very pleasant and professional to deal with. The whole process could not have gone better. Very impressed, and I will definitely use them again for any plumbing issue.

My toilet float mechanism was not shutting off the water and needed to be replaced. I attempted to turn off the water to the tank and the shutoff handle would not completely close and began spinning. I bought a replacement handle at Home Depot, but it too did not engage the shutoff enough to turn off the water. I attempted to turn off the shutoff valve with pliers and slowed the leak to a trickle. It was a Sunday night and I did not want to incur weekend and after hour charges, so just sopped up the water throughout the night. We do not have a regular plumber, so I looked in the local yellow pages and found a company called dad and a son. That appealed to me, so I called early before work. They asked what time I wanted someone out and I said over lunch from work. I only have a short time for lunch, so I hoped he would be on time. When I arrive before 12, I called to ensure someone was on the way. I was told they would be there at 12. At 12 sharp, Lorin showed up. He was immediately courteous and wanted to get right to the job. I showed him the problem, he assured me he could repair the shutoff and toilet mechanism. He quickly went to work and repaired the toilet in about 20 minutes. I found out he had an Army maintenance background, and I am retired Army, so we had that in common. He said he loves his job and likes helping people out. I asked him about the company and he said the name came because the company prides itself in its values of doing quality work at a reasonable price and being very trustworthy. He also said if there was any problem with the repair, he would come right out and that they stand behind their work. It was a family business, but Lorin has been added to help out. I have TOTAL confidence in this company and would recommend them for any plumbing repair. Lorin went out of his way to clean up and make sure that I was satisfied with how he left the work site. He also showed me some things to look for and how to operate the new mechanism. While $125 might seem a bit pricey, I have confidence the work was done right and well the first time. They are now our regular plumber and will be for any future plumbing work.

Service tech was prompt, helpful and reasonably priced

I called them the morning of 3/6 and they said they'd come out the same afternoon. Unfortunately I got stuck at the DMV for 2 hours so had to delay the appointment. They waited as long as they could then said they'd come out first thing the next morning, which they did. Very accomodating. It took only about a half-hour to snake my line.
