The installation was not without problems, but I believe you can judge a company more by how they respond to problems, rather than if they ever have problems. During a remodel, Sh** always happens.
Ward installed the reclaimed oak hardwood flooring on schedule. All of the installation crew were very professional, hard workers, and were careful about personal property.
Unfortunately, after the final coat of the finish coating "Glitsa" dried, there were many areas of discoloration, which turned out to be some type of unforeseen reaction between the Glitsa and the fill Ward used to fill some of the larger cracks and knot holes that occur in the reclaimed wood, giving it it's unique character.
The owner Dave, and managers AJ and Jeff assured me they would make it right and fix it no matter what it took. They researched and identified the likely source of the reaction, and ended up refinishing the entire floor. In short, they did just what they said they would do, and made it right. I commend them for their efforts and willingness to work around my busy travel schedule.
The reclaimed oak they obtained from the east coast and installed with the Glitsa finish looks fantastic.

The work was good but the customer service and billing was bad. The amount of time it took them to complete the job was also bad. The price was fair. The floor looks fine. The problem was that they said it would be completed in 2 1/2 weeks and it took 3 months. All the while my family including two small children with one under the age of one had to live in a hotel. We went through heck because of this company. It was not a fun experience.

Ward Hardwood employees were very skilled in adding to our floor, which required some weaving of new pieces into old wood. The refinishing job was excellent and it has performed extremely well.

We were very pleased with our experience. They came when they said they would. They charged what they said they would. They have a special finish called Glitsa. Very nice matte finish, not shiny.
