The installation was not without problems, but I believe you can judge a company more by how they respond to problems, rather than if they ever have problems. During a remodel, Sh** always happens.

Ward installed the reclaimed oak hardwood flooring on schedule.  All of the installation crew were very professional, hard workers, and were careful about personal property.

Unfortunately, after the final coat of the finish coating "Glitsa" dried, there were many areas of discoloration, which turned out to be some type of unforeseen reaction between the Glitsa and the fill Ward used to fill some of the larger cracks and knot holes that occur in the reclaimed wood, giving it it's unique character.

The owner Dave, and managers AJ and Jeff assured me they would make it right and fix it no matter what it took. They researched  and identified the likely source of the reaction, and ended up refinishing the entire floor.  In short, they did just what they said they would do, and made it right.  I commend them for their efforts and willingness to work around my busy travel schedule.

The reclaimed oak they obtained from the east coast and installed with the Glitsa finish looks fantastic.

More than happy with how everything went.  Started off with multiple problems in my subfloor (concrete had settled to lower level on one side of house, had cracks, large indents, bowing in plywood, etc.), which, with most other hardwood contractors, I would have had to get a separate company specializing in subfloors to handle.
Mr. Ward came to the house, gave us a very reasonable estimate ($20K installed for roughly 1500 sq ft, including subfloor repair and 12 stairs), and installed beautiful, solid, red oak hardwood floors.  He and his team were knowledgeable about the Evergreen area and how best to install in my climate (8000 ft elevation, and very dry with large swings in temperature) so that the floors would last for years.  They were helpful, friendly, and even took care of my house while I was away on business.  My well pump froze and Mr. Ward troubleshooted the problem, communicated with me about it, and had a company in the area fix the pump while I was gone.  Absolutely above and beyond.  I have had no problems like the other two reviewers.  I did my homework before hiring, and their name is known for quality around the Evergreen area.  I would definitely recommend this company, and hope my review ups their rating to do them justice.

It couldn't have gone better.  They sealed everything off with plastic, so that they were working in a bubble.  Even the ceilings were covered with plastic.  In trying to decide on a color of stain, they tried a few and worked with us until we were satisfied on the shade we wanted.  They were very professional and courteous throughout the entire time they were here.  All of my phone calls were answered or returned promptly.  They finished in a very timely manner.  I would use Ward Flooring again and would HIGHLY recommend them!

The work was good but the customer service and billing was bad. The amount of time it took them to complete the job was also bad. The price was fair. The floor looks fine. The problem was that they said it would be completed in 2 1/2 weeks and it took 3 months. All the while my family including two small children with one under the age of one had to live in a hotel. We went through heck because of this company. It was not a fun experience.

I would love to give this company an "A" because everyone was so nice to work with and apologetic for the change order and the delays. I highly recommend them despite these issues.

Ward Hardwood employees were very skilled in adding to our floor, which required some weaving of new pieces into old wood. The refinishing job was excellent and it has performed extremely well.

We were very pleased with our experience. They came when they said they would. They charged what they said they would. They have a special finish called Glitsa. Very nice matte finish, not shiny.
