Started in 2006, Christensen Carpentry is now based out of Denver, CO. Working with a trusted group of subcontractors we take on large remodels and additions. Working on our own, we do smaller jobs that need no subcontractors, saving our clients money and time.
On a daily basis we keep the jobsite clean and secure and try to make it as pleasant as possible for the homeowner. We realize how hard it can be during a renovation and we do our best to accomodate our clients.

Description of Work: Zac did some work in my basement. I simply needed a pre-hung door hung and another door boarded off and a bookshelf installed. Other handymen had quoted me up to 10 hours for this project. It took Zac no more than 3 hours. He communicated well and gave me a very fair price. I have many more projects and will definitely call Zac again!

Zac Christensen was all I had hoped for and more from a contractor. I hired him to renovate my kitchen: floors, ceilings, lighting, and new appliances (cabinets were designed and installed by a separate craftsman). He was conscientious, considerate and, most of all, highly knowledgeable and capable. He and his small team finished my kitchen renovation within my budget, and on time (in a short amount of time; just three weeks!) I've heard nightmare stories about other contractors being expensive, time-consuming and/or unreliable; in contrast, Zac was very reasonably priced, professional and dependable. I recommend him wholeheartedly to anyone seeking a contractor for home renovations.
Description of Work: Demolished old kitchen interior, rewired lighting, installed recessed lighting and new fixtures; installed hardwood flooring throughout kitchen, foyer and dining room; painted renovated rooms, installed new kitchen appliances, updated plumbing for kitchen sink and dishwasher, installed kitchen backsplash tile, installed new closet doors in foyer. Collaborated effectively and easily with cabinet and granite designers/installers.

They were reliable and their pricing was very good. They were professional, responsive and punctual. They also cleaned up once the job was done. The quality of their work was good and I was satisfied with their service.

Very, very well. Zac was extremely professional. He brought in subcontractors for the electrical and plumbing work who were also extremely professional. He kept pretty well to the schedule: he estimated 6 weeks, and it turned out to be 7 weeks for everything, including the punchlist. He started the job when he said he would. When issues arose, as they do on any project, he communicated them and dealt with them in a very professional manner, correcting the issues to my satisfaction. There were fewer issues with Zac than with contractors I've worked with in the past. I have 2 young kids who are home all day and he was very aware of blocking off access and daily cleanup so that they wouldn't get in the way or face hazards. Zac did an outstanding job on the kitchen. He has previously installed replacement windows for us, and was the primary contractor for our bathroom remodel 2 years ago. He branched out on his own after the bathroom job, and I strongly recommend his work. In a big project like a kitchen remodel, I'm looking for someone who can manage the project, communicate well, as well as do the work on time and in budget. Zac did this. He is so helpful and friendly, makes sure the job site is cleaned each evening, etc. A true professional.
Description of Work: Zac did a big kitchen remodel: obtained permits, demo'd our kitchen, knocked down an internal wall, filled up a doorway, arranged the re-wiring and re-plumbing, replaced windows in kitchen and dining room, put up drywall, assembled and installed IKEA kitchen cabinets, installed appliances, put up the backsplash, painted the kitchen, dining room, sitting room, and hallways, and painted the deck.
