Barbara H.
Sep 2009
The original proposal was for approximately $50,000.00 to no more than $60,000.00. The final cost was $90,000.00. The original proposal was for hardwood floors for the 3 rooms--we got laminate floors. The original proposal was to include kitchen work--to tie the kitchen to the back room remodel. The remodel stopped at the back of the original house---with the door for the original back of house still there, covered with drywall for the new room. The original proposal estimated 9 months to 1 year. It took over 2 years. We never knew when workers would be there. There were long gaps between visits. And, Chad continuously told me he would "save me a buttload of money;" indeed, he charged me the same over proposed cost. So, I was left with a den and loft, a backroom, no kitchen remodel for way over cost. When asked to provide support for the charges, he was unable to provide.
