He was very available via phone and gave me an accurate estimate over the phone. Price was good and very reasonable. Initially he was somewhat personable and his work seemed good and efficient, but for no clear reason he become grumpy and abruptly left with about 1/6 of the work remaining and didn't return for about 2 weeks. He then missed a scheduled appointment, for which he apologized, and was pretty grumpy when he came back to finish the work. Then there was more work that was not completed due to problematic lights that had to be sent back.  I apprecited his hard work, but was fed up with the rudeness so I called another electrician who suggested different equipment and finished the job quickly and pleasantly. Overall seems like he knows what he's doing but at times he is the opposite of the "southern gentleman" that you're hoping him to be.  Would not do business with him again.

Overall the services were fine. The vendor got upset with my husband when he asked a question about the fuse. The vendor would only speak with my husband and did not acknowledge me.

Michael came to the house to see the scope of work, and then followed up by email with a bid. The bid was fair, he provided some helpful advice, and he's a very personable man who is pleasant to work with. He did not take notes, and his bid listed the work but was not itemized. Some items were left off, and we had to put them back on the list. Other items I decided to take off, but had to ask how much that would decrease the bid. He performed the work right away and was relatively efficient. Everything works, and we're mostly happy with it.. However, a few of the things on the list, it turned out he couldn't do them the way he thought he could because of the way the house was wired. As you'd expect, the final invoice was a bit less than the bid; however, because I didn't have an itemized bid, I couldn't assess how much less we should pay given he couldn't perform the work. I learned my lesson there. In several of the places he worked in the house, he left behind a mess to sweep up, or pick up from the patio, or that we had to clean off the furniture. Also, it took him a couple of weeks to come back and finish the last part of the work. Again, we learned our lesson, in that we paid the full invoice before the full job was complete.

UPDATE: 3 years after the work was done, I was having problems with the whole house fan and called in another electrician to fix it.  They found that Volt Pro left wiring boxes in the attic without plates, didn't ground wires that were installed in the light fixtures, and wire with electrical tape instead of putting  caps on them.  The fan also was installed in an attic location that didn't allow it to fully function.
