Sewer Main Install, Replace or Repair
I was selling my home and one of the things the new buyers wanted was the sewer line cleaned out. I called and they said it would be $95. I said to the gal on the phone that another company had quoted me over $700 so are we sure we?re talking about the same thing and she said yes it?ll only be $95 so I scheduled it. They get there and of course it?s not going to be $95 (shocker, I know) but it would be $445. I show the guy the video from the inspection report and the inspection report itself. He says he is taking care of it. Fine. It takes him a couple hours longer than he said, he is obviously struggling with something and he says he can?t figure out where my sewer line goes?. I?m thinking - don?t you have a camera? But okay, whatever as long as he gets the job done. He ?cleans? everything up and says it?s done. After calling the company multiple times to get the video sent to me, I finally get the video and send it to the new buyers. They immediately reply and say the inspection wan

Bad Company. Said we had a broken sewer line and showed us a video showing it, but showed it quickly, not enough time to study it. When they dug to replace the line, it was not wet at all even though if there was a break it should have been muddy. They kept trying to sell us "linings" for the pipes. Tucker was suppose to come out on Saturday to talk about it but didn't show and didn't call. When he finally called on Tuesday, he said he had been at our house on Saturday, "sitting in the truck for an hour" waiting for us. Baloney. We were home all day. He said it passed city inspection but couldn't provide the report. Spoke with his supervisor, he said the same thing but wouldn't show us the video or report. Said the video was "lost". We lost trust because no one in the company seemed to tell the truth. We fired them and finished the job ourselves.

Do not hire this company! Back in February, I had them replace a section of pipe under my driveway. When they were done and had filled the hole back up, I noticed a long plastic pipe sticking out of the ground. I asked them what it was and they said it was "probably an old sprinkler line". Yesterday I went to turn my sprinklers on and water came rushing up from under the ground where they had dug. They had intentionally cut my sprinkler line and didn't bother to ask me what it was before they cut it or even inform me that it had been cut. What kind of professional plumber just randomly cuts pipes without knowing, or caring what it was or taking the time to inform the homeowner? If I would have been notified before they cut it, or even before they filled the hole, I could have either told them it was the existing sprinkler line or had an opportunity to have it repaired before they filled the hole. Now I have to dig back down and find the pipe to repair it. Luckily, I haven't had the concrete poured back over where they cut out my driveway yet! All of this could have been avoided by someone from Mr Rooter taking 30 seconds to have conversation with me. I called and spoke to, Justin, the person I had been working with on this job and his response was "I apologize for that but we will just cut through anything in our way. Sorry, but we don't repair sprinkler systems." I get that they have to gain access to where the repair needs to be made but that doesn't give them the right to destroy someone's property with total disregard. Be warned!

I highly recommend Mr Rooter Plumbing. My sewer line collapsed and I needed it fixed asap. I initially hired a different company (without gathering a few bids) who fix the apparent issue but of course they found more damage that needed fixing as well. For the additional repair I contacted several companies to gather bids this time. Mr Rooter came out to evaluate the next day and presented me with a very reasonable bid and even dropped their price to match the lowest bid I received (which is MUCH appreciated as a full time student). Mason took time out of his night to walk me through the repair, financing options, and answer my many questions. Additionally, he helped repair the sprinkler lines damaged in the sewer line replacement. Mason really went above and beyond for this customer - highly recommend!

Company doesn’t honor their own referral $$ trying to provide a coupon for possible future service. Disappointing professionalism.

Did thousands of dollars of work that found out was unnecessary, didn't do any cleanup so mold grew all over my crawlspace, the area they re-cemented after digging out my driveway for no reason has completely broken away, old driveway is still fine, so they used crappy materials. They wanted to do $9,000 more unnecessary work, but fortunately got a 2cd opinion. All that was needed was to have my sewer line rootered!

$1,016.20 for the labor. I checked with other plumbers. The labor should have cost about $300.

It took the worker maybe 90 minutes and they charged $620 for labor, which is ridiculous. They also tacked on a $228 "warranty charge" which I assume is some sort of extended warranty that I never agreed to and do not want. I emailed the manager asking for the warranty charge to be refunded, as well as a labor adjustment refunding $320, leaving labor at over $150 per man-hour, which seems more than generous- it's been 9 days and I have received no response. I will never use them again.

During the pipe bursting, Mr Rooter managed to bust the water main and my quater line. They did not charge me for the extra damage, but the communication and lack of professionalism was a concern. Our main contact Justin did a decent job but the rest of the crew and folks in the office when I called kept pointing the finger elsewhere. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

The plumber came out and gave me a bid, went over the pricing with me twice, and was able to come back on that Saturday for installation. He was professional, a perfectionist, and made sure to show me what exactly he was going to do and showed me where he was at when I checked in on the process. My plumber was honest and did his job well, I was also pleased with my interactions over the phone with the company to set up the bid appointment and the installation appointment. I will use them again for any other plumbing issues or needs I have.

The person came to look at rental property for no hot water.    The "plumber" said we had a big problem.   After checking under the house, we were told that the hotwater heater was not doing it job and needed replacement and was put in wrong.   The water lines are old and getting ready to rust through and need replacement, the lines that were replaced were done in a slipshod manner.   After checking the receipts from previous work, supposedly done, all work was done by Mr. Rooter.   We have paid over $4000 in the past to have the house fully re-plumbed.   The cost for this trip was going to be $9800+.  A second opinion said only the hot water heater needs to be drained.

We were very pleased with this vendor. He was knowledgeable, careful of the interior of our house, moved heavy equipment up and down the stairs, and provided excellent advise and council.

THEY WERE FRIENDLY, HARDWORKING, EXPLAINED EVERY STEP, AND EFFICIENT, BUT EXPENSIVE. THEY DID A FINE JOB AND THE QUALITY OF THE WORK WAS HIGH.
