I had a leak in a sprinkler valve after a late freeze last Fall. I called Boulder Landscape & Design because they recently completed my new back yard and I liked working with them. Cory tentatively put me on their schedule for the Spring. After a few months of winter and once temperatures started to warm up again I called and BLD still had me in their plans. On the day of the job the team arrived on time as they always have and they got to work. I asked them to move my entire valve manifold/box about 15-20 feet to a new location which required hand trenching. They replaced all of the valves and manifold, installed new valve cover boxes, and tied into the existing underground water lines and electrical for the sprinkler timer. Based on recommendation from BLD I also had them replace the vacuum breaker so that everything was new. After the install/repairs all of my sprinklers are working great with no leaks. The team even pointed out a few flaws in the old installation (separate company) that either caused leaks or eventually would have, and BLD installed the new parts with proper standards. BLD came back to help me troubleshoot when the sprinkler timer would not operate a few zones. Cory gave me advice and tips via text, and when that didn't work they came out and fixed all of the electrical connections. They even had a multi-meter to test electrical continuity to pinpoint the issue. I really appreciated their professionalism, attentiveness and responsiveness. The price was good for the work performed. BLD is a great company that I will continue to use for my outdoor project needs. I highly recommend them.

Boulder Landscape & Design is one of the best companies I have ever worked with. From start to finish the project was executed superbly. BLD has exceptional communication regarding the start of the project and progress throughout. The project pricing was reasonable, and once the project commenced there were few changes to the base price except for change orders that I requested. The change order process was simple and smooth, and increases or decreases to the contract price were clearly and thoroughly explained. The work crew was always punctual, and courteous, and they were great at maintaining a clean work site. Their workmanship is great and the final product that includes grading/leveling, fences, sprinklers, sod, soil amendment, edging, and mulch is superb. Cory was at our house everyday to oversee the job and direct the team, and he was always willing to consult and answer questions. Cory was also the person who provided the initial bid that was very thorough. The BLD contract process with Cory was simple and easy to execute. I highly recommend Boulder Landscape & Design.

Cory runs a quality operation. He's a straight shooter, native to the area, familiar with our expansive soils. His staff is seasoned, long term, honest, and he and his workers operate with integrity. Additionally, he really stands behind his work, has great communication and you get no surprises, everything done according to plan, with quality results.

Boulder Landscape & Design initially did a complete overhaul of our backyard in 2015, including sprinklers, sod, a flagstone patio and walkway, and additional landscaping and plantings. They did an amazing job, and they were having to work with a yard that had been completely destroyed by another contractor who tore it up and split. We've enjoyed the space for the last year and a half, and when I noticed there was a bit of settling on the flagstone steps, they had a crew out to repair at no charge. Cory is extremely friendly, professional and responsive. I'd highly recommend the company to anyone looking for landscaping assistance, big or small.

The 2-week project was tidied up at the end of each day, and never once did we feel like we were in a construction zone, even though there was demolition, grading, and lots of disposal of mature plantings going on the first week and deliveries, planting over 130 individual plants, mulching and top soil going on the second week.  A clean area was maintained throughout the process.  The team was professional, knowledgeable and efficient, with the project starting and ending on schedule.  BLD stays true to their estimate and even accommodated our request for some add-ons as the project progressed.  I will definitely be recommending BLD to my neighbors!

Cory and his experienced team were punctual, communicative and delivered a very professional, attractive, clean job.  They even re-routed a sprinkler head that would have been blocked by the new fence.

Good enough for me to hire them again.

Little by little the quality of the mowing jobs has been diminishing.  They no longer tend to the areas around the perimeter of the lawn, as far as mowing under the shrubs, trees.  They built a birm in the back yard at her request, and planted 4 bushes on it.  The grass has grown up so high around the bushes that you can't see them, and the birm appears as a big lump of wild grass.  They don't keep it trimmed.  A couple of weeks ago, she called the office to request that someone come out and connect her sprinklers.  As of today, no one has called back or showed up.  Her lawn was dying.  Thankfully we've had a dab of rain.  I personally am very disappointed with the company.  Travis is a very nice man, and the lady who answers the phone in the office is very pleasant.... the workers are pleasant.  However you ARE made to feel as though he takes on way too much work and simply doesn't have time to get to it all.  Travis needs to listen to customer concerns and take them seriously.

It was a difficult job as the space was small and already defined by the house, the garage and existing fencing.
I now have a beautiful patio space!

Their sprinkler service is excellent.  My overall experience with that was good.  The price was same as what everybody else was charging.  Their price was fair and I got good service on the sprinklers for what I paid.

Overall,  the outset with Paige was GREAT!  But the response to our repeated issues with the irrigation/sprinkler was what led me to give Boulder Landscape and Design a "C" overall.   

I like their professionalism and willingness to make changes as I felt they needed to be made, so I thought they really work with me.  They were a little pricey, but one usually has to pay for what they want.  Their price is competitive.

We started talking with this company in April before we even closed on the house.  We were told that they could start as soon as we moved in (June 5th).  However by the time the landscape design person came to the house in May  the start date had shifted to end of June early July. I paid a third fo the quoted cost for the entire job to 'hold the date for July 9th' and the day before the work was to start I still hadnt heard from them.  I emailed them to ask what time they were showing up the next day and was told they werent able to come until the following week. After talking with the owner of the company they agreed to start that week as agreed however the job that was estimated to take "~2 weeks, no more than 3 weeks for sure" ended up taking almost 6 weeks to finish.  They underestimated the cost of the project and I was upcharged just under $1000 for various 'unexpected costs' including the doubling of the cost to run a gas line to the fire pit and an extra $190 for having curved stairs instead of square going down to the patio. I was told they actually lost money on the job so apparently they underestimated the job to an even greater extent than what I was asked to cover.  The amount of colored concrete required was underestimated  because they had to stop 3/4 the way through the pouring to wait for another load which led to a change in color where the two loads joined. Hopefully there wont be a 'cold joint' issue there down the road.  On the positive side, the landscape design person took a lot of time working with me to get the patio design we wanted for the cost we could afford. It was not easy to find the compromise considering our budget.  Aslo the overall the finished product looks nice and we have been enjoying our patio and the fire pit with no issues to date.

The above scenario had been happening since Boulder Landscape Design turned on our sprinkler system on April 13th, 2012. They did not believe we had a problem and kept blaming my husband and I for changing the water zones! They woud come out and say the grass looked fine when it was dying in the front everywhere. Stalling was their middle name. When they finally spent the time to check it out the end of June it still took until July 3rd before this problem was resolved. Until then Travis the owner wanted to be paid immediately before we knew if any of this would work. He was very rude asking for the money at the front door before the second Rainbird was installed. Now I have many dead grass areas in the front yard with huge weed patches where the water did not cover for a long time and they are not concerned to remedy the damage thier neglect brought about.

They touted how well rated they were on Angie’s list as one of their sales pitches and that’s one of the reasons I chose them. They came out and walked the property with me and just disappeared so there was no call, no bid, no quote and no nothing so I just forgot about it. I wouldn’t find it that professional it’s all related to one issue and I don’t want to ruin their business but they came out telling me how high rated they were in Angie’s list and they don’t call me.

They were very flexible in making changes on things we had them do.  They were great to work with.  Travis, the manager who worked with us was very flexible and supportive of his guys.  His team was great to work with.  Travis and his guys were very good listeners.  They didn't try to sell you anything you didn't want.  In addition, they hauled off a lot of stuff for us that saved us a lot of time.

I worked with one gentleman there and I plan on working with him again in the future.  His name is mark.  He’s a really straightforward guy.  Their price is good and they get the work done.  I’m satisfied with their service.
