Weston Landscape & Design

This company has an inability to control their Herbicide use. The Hispanics spray frivolously in areas that have no weeds on a monthly basis right outside our sleeping area. My son has shown speech delay, issues with breathing and I called poison control twice on this company a month before mothers day for kidney issues, breathing fire, and burning skin. I am starting to think this is targeted redhead discrimination and abuse with the frequency of this company. My son has show agitation and was violently puking in his daycare and had to be removed. They spray around pregnant women and 2-4 D and Dicamba cause birth defects, learning disability, Hodgkins lymphoma, endometriosis, thyroid issues, 4x the rate of Parkinsons, and infants that don't develop teeth. It is unfortunate that companies like this abuse herbicides and force sickness and illness on others.

We had a great experience with Weston Landscape & design! They completely transformed our back & front yard into exactly what we were looking for. The designers and crews were great to work with and very professional. We get non stop compliments from our neighbors on how great our yard looks! Couldn't be happier!

From the design stage they were excellent and couldn't have been happier. Cost wise they were right around the mid-point from the 5 or 6 companies we had quote us but we went with them as Erik, from Weston, was by far the best in terms of talking through what we had in our mind in terms of design and making some really great suggestions that we ended up going with. Execution-wise, they were pretty good and did the rather complex job rather quickly, however it was the way they went about things and how they've responded since that caused me to rate as a B instead of an A. They were great with standing behind their 1-year warranty on the plants as we had multiple ones die the first year given some bad spring front killing a handful of bushes and flowers that had not had time to properly root. However they did a few things that were simply annoying and their responses to these issues were not what I had come to expect when dealing with them. First, they took off a section of our fence to bring in heavy equipment to property level our backyard to drain (which is great), however they didn't put the fence back on the post correctly. After months of continually having to re-nail the picket back into the post, I finally had to replace the picket itself. Not too big of a deal, mostly just annoying. The real issue came as a result of the french drain. When they drained it to the front they had to cut a whole in an existing timber retaining wall that we had on that side of the existing front wall. The issue was that when they went to put the timber back on, they didn't do it correctly at all and within 4 months or so it had fallen off. I was able to put it back on (kind-of) which lasted another few months at which point I reached back out to Erik. Rather than offer to have someone come out and correctly put it back in place, he quoted me over $1,500 to replace the entire wall! When I responded that it simply didn't need that and I'd appreciate if he'd just have someone come fix it to the way it was prior to them not putting it back on correctly, Erik went silent. I've now had to multiple times try to get this heavy timber piece correctly back on the wall and have finally given up. Looks like I'll have to pay someone else to come repair this since apparently Weston has moved on.

I called Weston on a Friday, they had a crew out first thing Monday morning to size up the job. They even showed up a little early. The crew needed some equipment to move the rocks but had it done by the time I was home from work that same day. I couldn't have asked for better service.

I contacted Weston Landscape because I had just purchased a new home as a fixer upper and always see their trucks and signs around town.  I?ve down my own landscaping before, but I also took a chance a few years ago with another company who I thought was hard to work with.  After giving them a call, a designer was at my front door a day later inquiring about what I wanted and what I didn't.  Two weeks later I was reviewing the design that had been created for me.  It was laid out very clearly with colored images and prices, which was good because the bill at the end wasn't any surprise.  A few minor changes were made no problem and another two weeks later I had a landscape crew tearing out the old and putting in the new. 
Here?s what I really liked about Weston:

·        Overall, the project took ~ 10 days and it was impressive that the crew worked such long hours every day, maybe 7AM to 6PM every day, and even came out on the weekends. 

·        The designer was really good about returning my calls and answering my questions, always calling back the same day, usually within 2 hours of my original call. 

·        There weren?t any surprises with the final bill because they include itemized prices on the bid.

·        The owner of the company came over for a final walk-through and a one-on-one, which I didn?t expect at all.  It was nice to see how much pride and effort they put into their products and customers.

·        Good Follow Up

Overall, everything came out exactly like I wanted and now I'm able to enjoy a really relaxing and private outdoor living area that is great for entertaining. I live on a busy road, and have received a lot of compliments about my new curb appeal too!

The aspen trees died after about two months.  They finally agreed to replace them after many unanswered phone calls.  The second set of aspens died slowly over the next five years.  The lavender plants are still alive but have never properly bloomed, after all these years.

s and overThey were hired by the Association for 2 years.  Didn't close gates.  Didn't cut lawn uniformly.  Didn't trim bushes uniformly.  Attempted to mediate with site supervisors - made all sorts of claims about how they would improve.  Also did snow contract.  When questioned about billing practices and not following specific instructions, continued to overcharge.  When we brought to their attention, it took 1 year to correct charges - but only after we deducted the overcharges from the final billing.  They then attempted to assess contractor liens to each homeowner, which also violated their contract that required mediation on disputes.We discovered that they would arrive mid-month to do requested repairs - and bill immediately.  The same charge would appear on the subsequent month as a duplicate charge.  When work was not performed satisfactorily, they would attempt to re-bill for the additional work required.  Was told directly by the owner of Weston that the dispute over the overcharges happened so long ago, it was too difficult on his end to research the charges and that we should just pay the amount that was owed.  He then directed us to not pay any further charges as that would trigger his billing department to flag the account for resolution.  We cancelled the account, and they threatened the mechanics liens - sending notices to each homeowner for the full amount being assessed.  They referenced their attorney on the notices, but never informed their attorney that they were sending out these notices.Would not recommend.

They are very good.  We have been using them for about 15 years.  They pretty much take care of everything every week without asking what we want.  Everything is fine.  They even plow our driveway for free.
