Movers were very careful with our belongings. They worked diligently and efficiently. We were very happy with this service .

I moved twice using a national executive moving service when my company moved me from previous homes and towns. Each time the big company was much more expensive. What you get is a professional driver and day laborers who in many case are ex convicts. Both times we moved with the expensive companies I met ex cons at my home and was left with a weird feeling that my home had been pre qualified for a break in.
In any event, Two Men and a Truck told me that their guys all are employees and have background checks. I told the dispatcher that I had read mixed reviews about Two Men and a Truck. So she gave me their best crew. I think that she was right. I had a fellow named Miguel and two others. They could not have been nicer. I gave them each a hundred dollar tip because they worked so hard and saved me so much money.
I would use them again and have done so already. I called and had Miguel and his team do a move for my son who was moving from a second story apartment to a home in the Denver area. It was only about a half day of work for them. I gave them each 50 dollars in tips. It was really a great experience. Moving is hard work. It is so easy to nick or break items. These guys did a great job and saved me a great deal of money each time.

It was not good. I had to fix my washer, they ruined my new tv and they did not tell me that the move had to be within 96 hours. They did not replace my lamp or even package things when they put stuff back in the truck.

Very unprofessional operation.  Several hours late.  Movers only wanted to speak Spanish.  Moved very slow through out the day holding long conversations in Spanish.Had it not been for my son in law, the job would not have been completed.  Two Men and a Truck staff urinated in the shrubbery in an upscale housing development.  Because they moved so slow, the cost of our move doubled from the estimate, $1000 to $2000 plus.Filled out survey from Two Men and a Truck ..... NO response

We went with this company because several people recommended it. It was a mistake.

Although the move was completed, the level of quality and professionalism was considerably less than we have experienced in our five other moves. I get the impression that the company and moving crews are understaffed. For one thing, they really need " three men and a truck," not two.

Here is what went wrong:
(1) Before making the move, no company rep visited to see the amount of material to be moved. They based the move on square footage, apparently. As a result, the time and dollar estimate were both low. A move that should have cost $1000 cost $1600, and one that was estimated for a single afternoon took about seven hours on the first day and another 3-4 on a second. Additionally, the truck sent was too small for the job, so that a second run would have been necessary even if the first had not run long.

(2) We were to meet the crew at a storage unit on the second day, but the crew did not arrive at the appointed time. Their morning job the second day also had run long (this apparently is common with this company, based on some of the other reviews), but no one bothered to phone us to let us know they'd be late. When asked why we were left waiting a storage site several miles from our house, the dispatcher gave me a lame (and factually false) excuse.

(3) Matting was not laid down on light carpeting before the move out, with very dirty results.

(4) Although our boxes were clearly labeled (and the labels were color-coded) with floor and room of destination, many boxes were not placed in the proper floors or rooms.

(5) A wooden desk was moved by scraping its side along a concrete floor. There were several other instances of minor damage.

(6) A piece of exercise equipment that a mover disassembled was re-assembled in a grossly distorted way, requiring us to disassemble and re-assemble it again.

(7) Little touches that we have learned to take for granted from other companies were absent. One example is the lack of matting, mentioned above. Another is that this company apparently has no ability to pack specialty items, such as computers---the sort of thing you rely on the movers to do because they usually have expertise in packing. We could have ordered packing in advance, but we did not do so because we packed almost everything ourselves, and we had come to expect that the movers could handle the half-dozen or so fragile items we did not pack. Apparently not this company.

My impression---and this is only an impression---is that Two Men and a Truck is coasting on reputation and (to mix metaphors) doing too much on the  fly.

It was a disaster and definitely not a stress reducing experience.  The movers arrived, after going to the wrong location and calling the wrong telephone number to report the delay, 2 1/2 hrs late.  By this time the move had to be rescheduled for Monday, August 1, as both my son and his wife had to go to work.  My son began the move without Two Men & a Truck on Sunday with the help of friends.  This eliminated the need for the extra location pick up.

Once again the driver called my number to report his arrival time on Monday.  I got a call about 10 minuets later saying the driver was insisting on my credit card.  I told my son the payment arrangements were already made with Karen and to contact her.  I got another text shortly thereafter saying the movers had snapped the leg off my daughter-in-law's desk.  This was going from bad to worse.

I  called the office in Greenwood to conveyed my displeasure with the services and spoke with Jamie.  Jamie was so defensive and made nothing but excuses for the tardiness of the first scheduled move, the carelessness of the movers, and then proceeded to tell me that I was not the client that my son was.  When I asked to speak to her supervisor I was informed that the company was a franchised organization and they were ALL supervisors.  Jamie then proceeded to call my son and tell him the same excuses she made to me and that she was concerned my son and the movers were experiencing animosity.  My son told me that Jamie's attitude was "confrontational" from the start and he didn't appreciate being accused of taking  the office disfunctionality out on the movers themselves.  He told Jamie he would speak with Karen once the move was complete.

The movers took the broken desk saying that it was company policy to try to repair it themselves.  The conversation with Karen was also non commital and unproductive and to my knowledge at this time, the desk issue is still unresolved.

My suggestion to anyone considering Two men & A  Truck for their next move:  Rent a U-Haul.  It may be more work but a lot less stressful.
Response from Two Men And A Truck Inc
"We were in contact with the daughter in law in regards to this move the whole time. Once we were mad aware that a one point for a 2 hour period nobody was going to be present for their own move, it was recommended that it be rescheduled. After that took place, we had informed all parties included in the move, afternoons are not guaranteed arrival times. Morning jobs may go over and arrival to an afternoon move may be later than expected. However, we do call on the way and did call these customers to keep in contact. In regards to any damages that may have occured, we uphold to our end of the agreement and will have those fixed/repaired/ and or replaced in a timely manner. We feel we did everything in our power to help on every phone call."

Small problem with communication as we were scheduled for afternoon and the morning job apparently ran long. However, overall, they did a great job. Very efficient and even though they were quick, there was no damage to anything. Am definately going to use them again. Accurate estimate and very easy booking.

The move went extremely well.  My 83 yr. old mother moved out of her home and into my sister's basement.  Mom could take only a portion of her belongings.  Bob Donald, Regional Manager, called the day before the scheduled move to confirm all the details.  The movers, Ruben and Shain, arrived right on time and got to work.   They asked to have a tour of the entire house so they could see what they were dealing with.  They marked the items that were not to be moved with sticky notes.  Ruben went over the paperwork with me and we confirmed the hourly rate for the move. Ruben and Shain  were both extremely professional, friendly, careful of Mom's property, and very efficient.  At the end of the move, Ruben explained the cost for everything and he had me confirm the start time and the end time.  The cost was what I expected.  Bob Donald called again the day after the move to make sure everything went well.  I highly recommend Two Men and a Truck and will always recommend them to my friends.

They changed drivers on me without permission. The whole thing was a nightmare. They took apart my desk and when they delivered, the second guy didn't even know what was going on. They didn't put anything back together and the second guy wasn't able to communicate with me. They charged my credit card and did a terrible job of moving me. I had boxed everything myself previously. They complained about me having heavy stuff even though I told them about the items I had and I am a 60 year old woman.

"On the move day of Friday, 8/03/07 our crew arrived at the member's home at approximately 8:20am. At that time our movers found that the she was expecting them to move an additional 200 boxes that were never mentioned to any Two Men and a Truck employee until the time our movers arrived. The member signed a revision to estimate. This form explains any additional charges. One of our movers on the job had a personal emergency which resulted in him having to leave. We did indeed dispatch another mover in his place. This did not result in any additional time applied to our hourly rates, nor were there any additional costs charged to the customer. The needs of each customer are different. Two Men And A Truck's estimates are only as accurate as the information received. Therefore it is imperative that customers relate their needs to us before and during their move. There are no additional fees associated with these services; however, these services must be requested. Unfortunately, she didn't request our employees to reassemble her desk or any other furniture. She dismissed the movers which indicated the move was completed to her satisfaction. The member was given a form mandated by the State of Colorado (Consumer Advisement for Intrastate Household Moving) which was sighed. The signature indicates that she understood the total estimate may very. We feel that a full refund is not justified. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience."

These guys were great. They moved quickly and efficiently and completed the work in only 4 hours, which was the minimum estimate of time we had been given. The office staff was great when I had a question. The movers did break one small wall sconce but we felt that came with the territory. There was a large computer monitor already at the new house that was very heavy and they moved it downstairs where we needed it. They put the beds together and all we had to do was unpack.

The move was terrible. The estimate and experience over the phone was great. The movers arrived promptly. However, they did not take the proper precautions while moving my furniture. They relied on multiple wrappings of plastic wrap instead of using movers blankets (which they had plenty of in the truck). They damaged my office desk, a bar stool, the mirror on my dresser and molding on the stairwell leading up to the second floor. The supervisor claimed that all the damage was done before they ever touched the furniture. Having recently relocated to Denver, I can tell you that all of the furniture was new and was not damaged. The house as well was brand new and hence the molding was not marred before Two men and truck arrived. Although two men and a truck charged me $900 for the move, in reality it cost a lot more to get everything repaired. I would never use them again.

"MY NAME IS ROBERT DONALD. I AM THE BOULDER OFFICE MANAGER FOR TWO MEN AND A TRUCK. ON SEPT. 25, 2006 I RECEIVED A CALL FROM MEMBER. I GAVE HIM AN ESTIMATE, AND BOOKED A MOVE FOR HIM ON THE OCTOBER 20, 2006. THIS PARTICULAR MOVE CONSISTED OF THREE MEN AND ONE VEHICLE. THE RATES THAT APPLIED TO THIS MOVE WERE A $112.00 DISPATCH FEE AND A $162.00 HOURLY RATE FOR THREE MEN. THE ESTIMATE THAT I GAVE HIM WAS FOR 4-6 HOURS OF TIME PLUS THE DISPATCH FEE. THIS IS AN ESTIMATED PRICE.THE ACTUAL MOVE TOOK 4.5 HOURS, AND CAME TO AN ACTUAL TOTAL OF $841.00. THE CUSTOMER’S MOVE CAME WELL WITHIN THE ESTIMATED QUOTE. BEFORE ANY MOVE THAT MY COMPANY STARTS, OUR EMPLOYEES ARE REQUIRED TO EXAMINE THE ITEMS THAT ARE TO BE MOVED FOR PRIOR DAMAGES. ANY DAMAGES THAT ARE FOUND ARE IMMEDIATELY REPORTED TO THE CUSTOMER. ANY AND ALL DAMAGES FOUND ARE RECORDED IN A “PRIOR DAMAGE REPORT” FORM. WE ALSO HAVE CUSTOMERS SIGN A RELEASE OF LIABILITY FORM IF THEY WOULD LIKE US TO MOVE THE DAMAGED ITEMS. ON OCTOBER 20, 2006 THE MOVERS FOUND PRIOR DAMAGES ON A DRESSER AND THE CONNECTED MIRROR, A STOOL/CHAIR, AND THE OFFICE FURNITURE. THESE ITEMS WERE PROPERLY DOCUMENTED IN A PRIOR DAMAGE REPORT. EVEN THOUGH THE SPECIFIC ITEMS IN QUESTION WERE RELEASED FROM TWO MEN AND A TRUCK’S LIABILITY BY THE MEMBER BECAUSE OR PRIOR DAMAGE."

When the team arrived they both introduced themselves and asked to take a look at what was to be moved. After a quick evaluation the truck was parked and the moving began I was then asked to sign a contract verifying the start time of the move. The move team worked very quickly and asked for direction when needed; to my surprise they took great care preparing fragile items before loading. The team took great care to understand what was to be left and what was to be taken. Upon arriving at my new condo my paint crew was not done and had their stuff in the way, the move team was very helpful in making sure stuff was out of the way and asked for directions as to where to place items. Even though my condo is on the second floor and has two interior floors the move went very quickly and the team worked straight through without a break. Both movers were clean, polite and very helpful a great recommendation from Angie s List.

They arrived on time and were very personable young men. They gave suggestions as to what would be best in emptying certain drawers at the last minute to make the move easier for them. The sales individuals gave a very accurate dollar figure for the move. Thanks to all for a great moving experience.
