Stan of Masters Electric was referred to me by a friend. He came and gave me a good verbal price on the job and said he could start that day. I started work without a contract, trusting that he would do what I asked him to do and what I had from several other electrical contractors in writing. The result was that Stan lowballed me several times. He also took my old breaker box without asking me. He is dishonest: while we did not have a contract, he gave me a signed invoice. They also billed me for additional work at 50 an hour. I watched them at work and they did not work as much as they billed me for. Also, the porch and garage lights were working before he started, but now they are not.

We and a number of neighbors have consistently used Masters Electric for home electrical installations and repair. In our case, his electricians have installed under-counter lighting, track lighting, a garage-light solar-operated on/off device and a garden-pond electrical system. Most recently we asked for the retrofit installation of 15 sealed ceiling-canister trims to stop the escape of hot/cold air into the attic. The price was about half that of an insulation contractor. The same electrician who has been here previously arrived on time and finished the work in 45 minutes. What could be better than reliable, capable people? Stan Masters is personable and understands quickly how best to do the work.
