Horrible If I could rate a ZERO I would.. Todd came out to quote buffing my hard wood floors due to the top coat wearing.. we scheduled a month in advance so that we would be out of town .. the job was to start on Friday morning and complete by noon Sunday.. there was a question whether the floor would need to be taken to the wood and restained. The price included a remove and replacement of some warped boards where a plant was watered. Containment was included in the price as he said he was dust free as well as 2 coats of poly. The start date came and he was late to start with ... by the time we left for the weekend it was determined that the floors would indeed need to be sanded to the wood and stain applied ... not actually a surprise..I asked for the total price to do this additional work and was quoted 17-1800... This would add one day to the schedule so we would wrap up Monday with Tuesday as a cushion.. I said let's just call it 1800 and proceed.. since that time it has been 12 days of excuse after excuse .. my house had been a disaster area.. he broke the cord to my Hunter Douglas blinds .. broke the water line to the refrigerator because he pulled it out without disconnecting it.. there is stain all over my Walls as far up as 4-5 feet.. he spilled the stain on my carpet about 2ft by 1 .. the baseboards are full of stain .. the plastic wasn't removed for containment .. I am currently in the process of hiring another contractor to re buff the top coat and fix the atrocious quality of work he did.. corners left un stained .. to top it off he decided to leave the job after buffing for the stain unless I paid him 300 more for the floor repair that was included in the initial bid of $60 ..i agreed to pay an additional 200 for him to finish the job (bad move) we had a screaming match about him extorting money to complete the work.. he refused to apply the final coat until full payment was made.. my house is left in shambles and the quality of work is unacceptable even for a first time DIY project..he lists on Craiglist for work... You hear the name Todd Swaney ... RUN

We had a flood in our kitchen therefore needed hardwood floors replaced, and in turn the entire main level of the house re sanded and stained. We had used this company before and they had done an excellent job 4 years ago. This year was a different story. Scheduling was unbelievably painful as we would wait and wait for him to show up only to get a text late in the day that he wasn't coming. A 700 sq ft space that could have been done in a week (max) is still incomplete and it's been over 2 months. He did put in new floor where the flood had damaged and stained the entire area. We wanted to wait to seal until demolition was done in our kitchen, he has now given excuse after excuse over multiple weeks to get back out to our house to finish the job. Our floors are not sealed and we now have to pay another contractor to complete the job we have already paid him to do. On top of scheduling issues he is very messy. Our walls have stain all over them, we have to re-paint the walls and baseboards on the main level of the house and he even cut out an area on my carpet that he got stain on. Last but not least, I came home unexpectedly to find him snooping through my office on the second floor, where there was no work to be done. Four years ago I would have given him a raving review, this year was a much different experience. Stay away from this contractor!!

The reason it had to be redone, is that he had done everything previously including the entryway.  They messed up the entryway because the poly they put down had not been properly stirred so it necessitated completely redoing the entryway.  So, he came in March to redo the entryway.

  After several attempts to agree on a date to do the work; he came with a helper and redid the entryway to our satisfaction.  There was a small area between the entryway and the living room which he agreed needed to be repaired.  So, we set up a time for him to come.  He couldn't come for 2-3 weeks. He was suppose to come on 4/29.  He promised he would come.  On the 28th, I texted to confirm and he said 'yes' he would come Friday around noon.  Friday morning, I texted again to confirm time and got no response.  Texted twice and called once and he did not show up and did not call or respond to my texts.  So, on Saturday morning; I texted and called again and no response!  On Monday, I called the general contractor who hadn't heard from him either.  Later that week, I finally heard from him and he said he had a job that ended up taking much longer than anticipated and said he would definitely be here on Friday the 6th between 9-10 am.  He said there would be no issues.

Friday morning, I get a text saying he has to deliver some wood and will come later, but said it would still be today the 6th.  So, at 3:30 on Friday; I still hadn't heard from him.  I texted and asked if he was still coming and no response!  I called around 5 pm.  No answer!  I did leave a message.  And, I haven't heard from him since.
