Dropped the car off for an oil change, tire rotation, wiper-blade replacement, and door-latch-assembly replacement on Thursday, 1/9, and was told it would be ready on Friday, 1/10. Was given a loaner to use in the meantime. Having heard nothing back from the service advisor by late Friday, I called to find out what the status of the repair was. I was told that the car had not yet made it into the shop because "there were a lot of cars ahead of mine". I requested to speak with a service manager, who said he would "look into it". About an hour later (Friday evening), the service advisor called back. My car had "magically" made it into the shop and had been looked at. (Mind you, this is a day-and-a-half after I had dropped the car off.) The service advisor said that I also needed new front brake pads, which I authorized. He also told me that the door-latch assembly needed to be ordered, and would arrive on Monday. He mentioned that the car would be ready to pick up late Monday.
Then he called back to say that the part wouldn't be in until Tuesday, and that the car would be ready for pick up on Tuesday.
On Monday, he called to say that the part wouldn't be in until Tuesday, and that the car would be ready for pick up by 2:00 PM today (Wednesday, 1/15).
Not having heard anything from him by 1:15 PM today, I called. He was not at his desk, of course, so I left a message. He called back and rudely said that the car would be ready at 6 PM. When I asked him what happened to the 2 PM promised time, he just rudely repeated that I could pick the car up at 6 PM.
Once again, I called back and asked to speak with a service manager. I explained the story to him, and he said that I definitely should not have had to wait six (6) days for a car repair, and said he would find out what was going on. He called me back and explained that there was a problem ordering the part, which caused the delay. He promised that the car would be ready at 3:30, rather than at 6:00. When I went to get the car, the original service advisor checked me out, and he was just plain RUDE, RUDE, RUDE. Obviously, the service manager must have said something to him about my call.
I've been going to this dealership since 2009, when they were Burt-Kuni Honda, and had been please with the service and treatment I received. However, since the changeover to Kuni Honda, the service has seriously deteriorated -- the wait times have drastically increased, and the service advisors have been rather unpleasant to deal with. For example, the service advisor at my last visit insisted that my car had a feature that, in fact, it did not, and I was unable to convince him otherwise.
Based on my last several experiences with Kuni Honda, I probably will not be returning to this dealership.

The starter motor repair was covered under my extended warranty.  When they went to replace it they said it was not a Honda starter and would not pay for the repair.  But why would I have paid to replace it previously when the warranty would cover it for free?  The dealer said there is no way Honda would use an after market part but I talked to Honda corporate and they said it was certainly possible.  The bottom line is that Honda used one of their suppliers starter motors when they built my car and Kuni used that as an excuse not to pay for the repair.  Take your business elsewhere!

It is a pleasure to do business with a company that from the top down is client/customer oriented.  Kuni allows their employees to deal with clients/customers in a very straight forward and honest manner.  Chris (Used Car Manager) and Jessie (Sales person) were very straight forward in our negotiations -they laid out their costs, the value of ther vehicle and the value of our vheicle.  We had been looking for a Colorado for about a  year.  We believe we had a pretty good idea of the trade value of our vehicle and the asking price for used Colorados (from owners and dealers).  We got a good price.  Chris agreed to add running boards at his cost (he showed us his cost) - and they look great.  We had other minor agreements - all of which were honored when we took delivery.  Jessie had the truck detailed on delivery - and, because it was raining, had us come back and had it detailed again.  After we accepted the truck, we noiticed a small rock chip in the windshield that we hadn't noticed before.  No problem - called Jessie and he had it repaired.  Truck is great and the buying experience was outstanding.  We highly recommend this dealership.
