KP Concrete & Design, Inc.

Since September 2022, a month after installation, we have been experiencing issues with spalling and several other problems (see below list and pictures for reference). Despite our repeated attempts to contact the company through text and email, they have consistently disregarded our inquiries. After a lengthy email accompanied by photographs, they finally acknowledged the issues in 2024 and made promises to address them. However, they have consistently failed to fulfill their commitments, including providing a concrete report. After a concrete report was requested from KP Concrete, we were informed that they could not recall the company that supplied it but could be 1 of 2 companies. Consequently, we had to contact both suppliers which by the time we figured out who they were, they do not keep records beyond 6 months.

From the minute we talked to Paxton, we knew these were the right people. The crew arrived on time and did the WHOLE job in 7 hours. Neighbors company took 3 days. The whole crew were very polite and friendly and did a couple of extra things to make job look really nice. We would very much recommend this company to anybody.

Honest, creative solutions, excellent customer service and the quality and price are spot on! They work within your budget to achieve long term quality solutions instead of quick fixes that last only a few years. I canâ t say enough good other than call no others, I vetted 5 others and am thrilled I went with KP Concrete and Design!

Paxton was very thorough in his explanation of what their process was and why they used the materials that they did. He got back to us with answers to all our questions timely. They cleaned up after the work and it was wonderful.

Weâ ve appreciated the hard work our crew exhibited. They worked hard all day, carving out the shape of our new patio, retaining wall, and walkway.

KP did an excellent job. They got the work done quickly, it was high quality, and though more expensive than some other bids, the quality was worth the price. Paxton was friendly and knowledgeable, and was able to design exactly what we were looking for.

After reading the review from Rita S. I think there are more holes in her story than in the communication with KP as she suggested. I have hired numerous contractors over the year to do many different projects, both inside and outside my home, and KP is the first one I have been satisfied with. They developed a creative plan to meet my construction goals as well as my budget (which I assure you was not easy) They were timely with communication. They were pleasant to work with. They didn't expect to be fully paid until I was happy. They worked quickly and clean. Anytime I spend my hard-earned money, I have high expectations and I was not let down by KP. Highly reccomend them for any concrete project.

Paxton is strong in his sales approach but finished weak on my project. Paxton was AWOL most of the time and his staff was not well supervised and there were holes in the communication and expectations. His staff cut my sprinkler system and he and James deceptively lied about it and have not taken care of it; my sprinkler guy is a witness to this; they did over $1,000 damage. Paxton never gave me a signed contract and at the end of the job refused to give me a copy and refigured the numbers causing me to pay hundreds of dollars more. Paxton was very friendly and hugged me and stated 'I'm good for this and you can trust me.' Paxton apparently manipulated me and the situation to get out of honoring his numbers and repairing the damage, while he had all control; I don't appreciate being put in this situation. He has not responded to my emails nor my texts nor my messages. The staff also removed my new front fence and I had no idea that they were going to do this and there is damage there, too. They used my driveway and dumped several tons of decorative rock on it and stated 'it won't hurt it and we will power wash it' but it looks scarred and has divots in it from their shovels and is scratched everywhere; I told him my driveway didn't look great but I didn't want it to look worse and he assured me it would not but that is not the truth. My observation is that Paxton takes on more work than he can handle and the staff is rushed and stressed and there is irrepairable damage to my front sidewalk, as well, with two large chunks of concrete missing. Paxton brought really big equipment into my residential neighborhood that was more appropriate for a commercial job. Beware. I don't trust Paxton nor James. I am a senior citizen and took money out of my retirement for these needed repairs and Paxton showed no conscience nor care nor did he take responsibility.

Completed as scheduled. Good job of explaining components and the process. Very happy with the finished product.

I hired KP Concrete to redo my patio. It was old and consisted of brick pavers and rotted out timbers. I called KP and spoke with Paxton Burton. We scheduled a time to meet and he showed up on time which was a the first thing I was impressed with. He allotted enough time to really listen to what I wanted and was knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. I was impressed that he wanted to take on the job because it was a small job in comparison to most concrete jobs but KP concrete is wanting to break into the residential market and if that means 1 patio or sidewalk at a time, they will stay plenty busy. The work was scheduled and the crew showed up on time, ready to do the job. That was the third thing that impressed me. The entire job from start to finish took 1 week. I now have a new, very beautiful stamped, colored concrete patio that has extended my living space as well as increased my property value. I had gotten 3 estimates and KP's estimate was right in line with the others. If you are considering concrete work, I would give them a call, you will be well taken care of by Paxton and his crew.
