Crew arrived on time. We were told they would need to cut a hole in the wall to fit the unit, but the installers found a better way to mount the humidifier with no wallboard cutting required. Unit worked well at first, holding the humidity in the house at a pleasant 35%. After a few weeks, the humidity began to drop. We called Horizon and within an hour, they had a technician at our house. He determined that a solenoid had failed. A new one was sent out from the shop, which he installed. Work was covered under warranty, with the total time from call to completion under two hours.

They wher very professional from start to finish. They wher very thorough in explaining how everything workd.

It took about an hour. Technician was very knowledgeable and fast. I continue to recommend their services to anyone who needs Plumbing/Heating.

Technician called ahead of time, and was punctual. Tech was patient answering any questions I had. The $198.00 for the furnace inspection feels high when other places we've tried in the past offer less expensive pricing for furnace checkups. The quality of service is definitely there though, and we trust the installs Horizon has done for us, both HVAC and water heater. -DP

We were told that the new system would improve the temperature on our second floor. We were somewhat skeptical about whether we would feel a difference. The temperature of our house has never been more comfortable. This is one of the most professional, responsive and enjoyable company I have ever worked with.

There was a coupon for $98 for servicing the AC. I asked to have the furnace checked as well. The air conditioning obviously worked since he got the house so cooled off I had to put on a coat. I was then told everything was very dirty and it would be a great deal of work to get in to get everything cleaned. Both the AC and furnace had been cleaned and serviced in 2011. However, since I couldn't remember who did the work I guess maybe he thought I was bluffing. The quote was about $4800 by the time he left. He explained that since he is certified by NAIT then he probably was able to see what the others did not see. It got cooler that evening and when the furnace came on there was such an odor I had trouble with asthma that I have not had living here for 12 years. When I went downstairs I saw he had put tags for Horizon on every pipe leading into the furnace and AC. Also a sticker on the furnace itself. All this after not doing anything but looking at it. There was no service done because it made it clear the $299 was to come and check everything and did not include the cost of doing any work. I have no idea what he may have done but I have 2 dogs and myself here and we have never had any the trouble breathing we have now when the furnace comes on. I have advised the business on Saturday 4-26-14 of my dissatisfaction with their work and that I will be scheduling with another company to determine why I am now having issues with a furnace I have had no problems with the 12 years I have lived here. The review was maintenance that I have tried to do at least every few years and was not because of any problems with the furnace or the AC.

Diagnosed a very simple problem that required a single part replacement.

They did nothing over the years but charge high prices and provide horrible customer service. They did however give me a lot of high pressure sales!

Horizon does a very good job. They are always on time, polite, professional, knowledgeable and ethical. I have used them for the past 2 1/2 years and the work and professionalism are always high caliber.

This company was incredibly responsive, timely, respectful and thorough.  They were here for 14 hours and never left the job until it was completed.  I was very impressed.  

I have had a service contract for heating and air conditioning with Horizon Mechanical for over a year and have been consistently pleased with their professionalism. They arrive on time, work efficiently and are very pleasant to deal with. I also had them install a whole-house humidifier and clean the dryer ductwork and have been very happy with the results. I know they are a bit higher priced than others, but they are worth it.

The service man came over and cleared all the drains.
