This is our third project with Cyndi of Homework Remodeling and we're very pleased with the results. The project came in close to the original budget and was completed on time. Cyndi is excellent to work with in terms of attention to detail, excellent communication skill and troubleshoot unexpected issues that can come up during a renovation. I highly recommend Cyndi and her crew!

I was not in a rush to remodel my kitchen and I was glad that I waited for Cyndi to the work. I received an estimate in December and work began in March. I bought Ikea cabinets and Homework put them together and hung them perfectly. They also tiled the glass backsplash. All went as planned, no surprises, no mistakes, no drama. I'm a happy customer.

They were pretty good.  We had a few problems with fit and sizing and they fixed everything pretty quick.  There was a problem with just one window but it worked out well.  Overall, all issues were handled in a timely fashion.  Price wise they were not the cheapest, not the most expensive, they were competitive.  They were quick and timely.

From the first time we met Cyndi Krieger of Homework Remodeling, we were impressed with her professionalism.  She was prompt, understood what we were looking for in our remodeling project, and submitted a concise estimate almost immediately.  Throughout the project, Cyndi answered calls in a timely fashion and communicated clearly by e-mail, something we haven't seen from other contractors.  Her work crew was capable, friendly and adaptable when materials did not arrive as predicted.  When asked, Cyndi provided very helpful advice which we valued as novices to remodeling on this scale.  Cyndi counts her tile work as one of her strengths and we were very pleased with the work she did on our backsplash.  All work was completed to our satisfaction and we are proud owners of a beautifully updated, functional kitchen.  Cyndi has a great sense of humor and ownership of her projects.  We would recommend her to anyone.
Response from Homework Remodeling
"It's amazing what a wall, closet and soffitt removal will do to enlarge a very tiny kitchen, both visually and storage wise. This turned into such a wonderfully warm welcoming space, I wanted to stay. They were wonderful people to work with and we appreciated their instant response whenever we had a question or a problem."

Cyndi did an excellent job.  During the remodeling process there were several points where she stopped and asked us which way we wanted to go.  This is an experience I have not always had with other contractors.  I will hire Homework Remodeling for future projects.  We were very pleased.
Response from Homework Remodeling
"We had some problems with timely tile delivery, but we managed to get them a working shower- thanks to a shower curtain, while we waited nearly a month for the rest of the tile to arrive. Once it came, I promptly installed the remaining baseboard and shower curb tile and the shower door could be ordered. This tile was well worth the wait to complete their beautiful blue and white bathroom. Quite a transformation from the 70's remodel that we started with. I really appreciated their flexibility with a situation that neither of us could control."

It was really hard to get an appointment scheduled, the garage door opener quick working shortly after installment and the actual door that was installed was never fitted properly.
Response from Homework Remodeling
"We checked with them before we left and got their ok on everything. I was never informed about any of these issues. The door opened and closed fine when I left and the garage door opener worked well. I even contacted them awhile later just to check on things and mention a review, and I never heard back from them. I can't fix an issue I don't know about."

They followed through and did the work I needed. They fit me in their schedule and everything turned out fine. The gal that did the work was great and I called her another time for other work on my house. She was unable to do that specific job, but was able to put me in touch with someone who could, which was great.
Response from Homework Remodeling
"This was a rental house where they were using a tub for a shower and ruining the walls above the tile splash, so with an assortment of tiles from habitat provided by the owner, we got as close a match to the existing tile as we could. It took a bit of sorting and designing to make an appealing mix, but it turned out well and tenant and landlord both were pleased with the result."

Cyndi and Bones have been doing this for a long time and it shows. They have a great crew and set of subs that they have been working with for many years and as a result create a seamless experience for the homeowner. Cyndi always had they right work scheduled at the right time, and so long as I  did not hold anything up by completing any work I  had promised to do (insulation, painting, flooring) she had her people there right on time.
The Homework crew was there everyday from 8-5 til the work was done. Project took about 6-8 weeks.
I highly recommend Homework Remodeling.  I will ABSOLUTELY be calling them again for any future work.
Response from Homework Remodeling
"We had a great time with this basement remodel. He knew exactly what he wanted which made our job simple. We often work with people who want to do part of the job themselves and he was on top of things when it was his turn. This made getting the job complete that much easier. We are looking forward to the next project."

Cyndi and her team were great from start to finish. Cyndi came out and discussed my project with me and gave me a rough estimate. She also connected me with a structural engineer so we could figure out how to take out a wall. The project started in Feb 2013 and took about 45 days. Her team demo'd the area quickly and moved on to taking care of the structural items, sheet rock, flooring, etc. Tile was put in the kitchen and sunroom and both turned out great. Cabinets were also put in and they completed all the painting for me as well. As changes were made Cyndi was good about letting me know how that might change the cost. Cyndi and her team were professional, responsive, and followed up on all the items we discussed. I would recommend them to anyone looking to do a remodel and will absolutely use them again in the future.
Response from Homework Remodeling
"We really enjoyed the challenge of this job. We like re-configuring spaces to entirely change the look. The tile design was one of the most complex designs and was very dramatic when it was completed. She was organized and helpful and easy to work with."

The work performed by Cyndi and her crew was top notch. I am a really picky homeowner who spent a year designing the new bathrooms, researching everything down to the last detail, and worrying about finding a reliable contractor to do the work right. Cyndi worked with me on the design and listened to all of my concerns. She and her crew were patient with me as I hammered out my design during construction and asked a zillion questions about everything. They gave me great input during the process and all three bathrooms turned out even better than I expected. This contractor is one of a kind. You can trust Cyndi and the work she does. Any negative reviews are simply because she is very popular and super busy. So, if you want her to do your work you have to give her the patience she gives you. It is worth any delays because you will get the very best, including detail, care with your home, cleanliness, and quality.
Response from Homework Remodeling
"We had more than a few conversations to make sure that we got the details right on this job and between her schedule and mine, there were a few delays between bathrooms, but the result was beautiful and even the reluctant husband was a fan by the time we were done. Making a half wall in the master shower with clear glass surround made the smaller shower seem spacious and was well worth the cost of doing. We look forward to the next project she tackles."

Cyndi was very professional and timely in her communication. The work done was outstanding and reasonable in price. More importantly, I trust her and her workers in my home. Cyndi is good and she stays VERY busy. Thus, there may be a wait for service but she is well worth the wait!!
Response from Homework Remodeling
"We were glad for a sunny day to get to their mountain home and stop the roof leak before more damage was done. It is very frustrating to find a relatively new roof that was not installed properly to begin with. Bad contractors make us all look bad."

"He purchased a Big Deal and we installed new front and rear doors for him. We try very hard, but being a small company, with fair pricing and a great reputation, we can get very booked up and not get to jobs as quickly as we would like. However, once we are there, we do quality work and focus our full attention on the job at hand."

Cyndi and team did a great job! We had a large project and they were very easy to work with. Cyndi even quoted the job via pictures and email which meant I didn't have to miss work. She also coordinated the work order as I used two other companies in the project (one for flooring and one for countertops). They showed up all but one day (weather and she let me know). They did quality work and if there was anything I noticed, they fixed it without push back.
The price was competitive (cheaper than IKEA and I didn't like the IKEA contractor). Their plumber was great though I wasn't thrilled with the electrician she uses though he did excellent quality work.
The house looks amazing. I will certainly be using them again for any other GC kind of work.
Response from Homework Remodeling
"Wonderful transformation to this house. We appreciated his organization and attention to detail in helping us get the job going and handle any issues that arose. Working with people like this really makes our job easier."

She arrived when she said she would and finished everything on the job except the glossing finish on the stones at the shower bottom because of a time issue. (We had to leave town before the gloss was applied). She arranged for a certified plumber to install the shower hardware, which turned out to be quite difficult, but she didn't charged any extra for the extra time. She also was very good about picking up extras and bringing them to the job on her own time. At the end of the job, she did a pretty good job of cleaning up too.
Response from Homework Remodeling
"This shower turned out quite glamorous. I was very pleased with the results. Working so far from home is always a challenge to get people scheduled and make sure that all materials are on the jobsite, but we completed this job in record time and met their very tight schedule, so their house sitter would have a working shower in the suite while they were away."

I'm an architect that insists on quality construction work, especially in my own office. I found them to be very professional, reasonably priced and willing to work out the details of my design to reduce cost while keeping with the original design intent.
Response from Homework Remodeling
"This was one of our favorite projects of all time. We really enjoyed the challenge and diversity of building a staircase and bookcase in one. We appreciated his flexibility in actual building design, since he is a design professional. We also were very pleased with the outcome on his rental. We built stairs on 2 sides of the porch to eliminate unsightly conditions beneath in order to sell the house. Came out beautiful and the neighbors especially loved it. We got many favorable comments."

They were not easy to get hold of, and we decided to have them do a small project at our Denver location-sand and stain the small front porch. When the porch was completed, there were areas poorly sanded and stained. I contacted Homework Remodeling, and they told me that they're sorry we're not satisfied. That was it-no attempt to satisfy us.
Response from Homework Remodeling
"We do our best to ensure customer satisfaction, and in 20+ years, we have only a handful of people who have remained unsatisfied, but sometimes it just isn't possible. They purchased a 12 hour coupon and we gave them 13 hours of work. I informed her that we would not finish in the time they had purchased and offered extra hours, but she informed me in writing that they would finish anything we didn't accomplish. In response to the claim that we were unresponsive, they contacted us immediately after purchasing the coupon and we promptly arranged for a visit to their house 40 miles away to look at their project. I penciled in the job 4 different times, but they were never ready. Months later, her husband, (different last name) contacted me about some work on a commercial property. I could not identify what the coupon was, because the address and names were different. When she finally emailed me, I connected the dots, and we promptly scheduled time to come sand and stain a deck at their office. We gave them 13 hours, didn't subtract time for the initial estimate, which was our agreement, and did our best but did not finish. Since her only solution was for us to come finish the job for free, I had to leave it as it stands."

The remodel started as scheduled, the HR team cleared out the old master bath in one day and started prepping the other projects as well. The flow of work was quick and each day significant progress was made. There were only 2 snafus I recall, a cut to the shower water pipe and a reworking of the frame for the shower seat but they were quickly resolved and the work moved at a good pace.
We had HR create a new shower with a corner seat and shampoo niche using glass tile and pebble for the shower base which they did fantastically. For the kitchen, HR removed the old mess of mixed counters we had and installed oak butcher block on all counters as well as a new sink and new cooktop/hood system. The team worked very h****** the counters to get it right and installed all of the appliances perfectly. We chose slate for the floor and glass/travertine tile for the backsplash and the HR team all of it perfectly. They measured and tested all installation before completing the final work to ensure it was perfect. Cyndi the owner does all of the time and she is fantastic at it and completed the work in a timely manner.
For the backporch, HR removed a wood and galvanized lean-to the previous owner had built and was attached to the house, No damage was caused to the house and all of the debris was cleaned up properly. HR had a subcontractor build a wall to close off an enclosed area of the porch we had already and that is great too. The stucco work matches the house perfectly and looks original.
Overall, HR and their subs did great work and at a great price!  They were always friendly and communicated all aspects of the job so we knew what was happening. Our dogs really miss them too, so that shows you how nice they are. We want to wish them all the best and we will definitely be calling them for other renovations we have.

lThey replied promptly after my initial inquiry (within the day) and were able to provide me a quote and an outline of what they needed to do.
They showed up on time and were very professional. It wasn't easy (it took the about 3 hours) but it was well worth it. All communication was very easy and always had a quick quick reply and answered all my questions. Top notch and wonderful to work with. My daughter loves her new doors. Happy daughter=satisfied customer!

Response from Homework Remodeling
"When he initially contacted us, he was very concerned about what it would take to install a door on this space. We were very pleased to be able to provide a custom door at a reasonable price. When we got there, the opening was taller and thicker than we had anticipated, but we framed and sheetrocked the top, put a jamb extension on and got the job done. Happy customer=happy remodeler."

My experience with Cyndi Krieger of Homework Remodeling was great.  She stayed with the job until it was complete in spite of all the obstacles she found in the job.  I have all dos and no don'ts for Cyndi.  She is very capable of planning and executing any repair I asked for.  Her experience and knowledge are fantastic.  She is great to work with and keeps a clean work area.
A big bonus is that she likes animals, is very easy to work with, and has a very positive attitude.
Response from Homework Remodeling
"We were very glad that we caught several safety issues missed by her inspector and she now she doesn't have to lean while she walks down her deck stairs or worry about it falling down. Taking apart the stairway and adjusting for the sinking (and someone else's failed coverup) was a real challenge. We were very happy that we could enact the repairs without the expense to her of rebuilding an elaborate deck. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the mountains with this wonderful woman and her pets and I consider her a friend as well."
