Mr. Greg Black was professional and the new closet doors that he installed function perfectly and look great. I was very pleased with the job that he did.

Could have been better. This is the 2nd bathroom that we had Greg do for us. Honestly, a year ago on the other bathroom, he did a wonderful job, and we were thrilled. The tile work was dang near perfect then. However, this time he did a very sloppy job on the tile work. The spacing was not even, and the grout appeared to be different colors in some areas. The rest of the work done was fine. He put in new vanity, medicine cabinet, lights, sink, shower, and all that was excellent, but I just can't get passed the lousy tile work. To be fair, I did not complain about it to him, but the work was already done by the time we saw it. I reviewed him last year and gave him an A rating. But this time, I have to give him a C. I like Greg. He is a nice guy, and he does the work quickly. This time maybe a little too quickly. Sorry Greg. Not happy.

I thought everything was fine till it started falling apart. The tiles are not consistently spaced nor are they even. Unskilled use of tools. It's just been one bad thing after another.

He was great to work with, very helpful in explaining our choices, and always prompt and courteous. He also cleaned up wonderfully at the end of each day, which I really appreciated.

He made one huge error and I'm living with it. I just wanted him to fix it and he wouldn't. When you plumb you have to plumb to make straight lines and what happened was that he ended up in the corner with his little thin pieces of tile. If he'd done it right and had worked it all out that wouldn't be there. The tile was supposed to meet each other but it didn't. So I need to go and have somebody fix it and tear part of the tile and redo it because I decided I could put extra tile there so I would have to pull it all out. He was here on time and he go here when he said he would. He refused to do anything about it and I don't think that's very professional and when you call him on a mistake his only response was close or shut your door and you won't see it.

This remodel of our master bathroom went extremely well, and I want to give the highest recommendation to Greg Black. Greg did an outstanding job of remodeling our bathroom, and though he worked mostly by himself, he completed it in one week. Greg is an expert at bathroom remodeling, and many other projects, I would assume. He has been working in the southern part of the city for 20 years. He does beautiful, clean work, and his tile work is great. I left a message for Greg who got back to me right away. He arrived for the estimate when he said he would and was able to give an estimate for his labor on the spot. Truthfully, I didn’t shop around much, so I can’t say for sure how his fees compare to others, but I just know for sure that he did a fantastic job. After we picked out all the materials needed for the project, Greg set a date with us for when he would start the project, and he kept to that schedule. He arrived every day on time and worked diligently all day. He hooked us up with a granite guy for the countertops, and that was a good experience too. Greg estimated that he would complete the project in one week, and that was also a correct estimate. The cost of the project was about $6,000, so the amount shown above includes only his labor. This room was stripped down completely and rebuilt. I LOVE MY NEW BATHROOM, and I very strongly recommend Greg Black for any household project. I will be calling him again for my next one.

Replaced several faucets, shower trim, towel bars, etc.    Greg would fix things as he found them and kept ahead of the total project.  Cheerful and pleasant.  Will use Greg again.

Greg did a great job updating my master bath and hall bath.  Project required gutting both bathrooms nearly completely, repairing drywall, new tub and shower installation, floor tile, shower tile, toilet installation, shower and sink faucet installation, cabinet install, new door installed, additional lighting and vent/fan install, electrical wiring, and painting.
Greg was prompt and quick and when I made some changes during the process he was very accomodating.  I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to update their bathrooms or need someone for general updating around your house.

This was our first time hiring a handyman and we could not be more pleased with the outcome. Greg was on time and did an excellent job. We will definitely be using Greg again. I would highly recommend him.

We've used Greg before and he did a great job again on our kitchen work.  The underlying floor had to be straightened out before the laminate wood was laid, and there was a lot of removal/restructuring work overall. The store he sent us to down on County Line for choosing granite countertops and backsplash tiles was terrific and very reasonably priced. We also picked out the flooring there. The additional cabinets he installed match perfectly with the old ones once they were all re-painted.  He is always on time and extremely good at clean-up during and after the job.  Everything was included in the initial bid, with no extras added on. Our old kitchen now looks brand new.

Greg is just an all around great guy and does great work.

Greg Black is the go to plumber, handyman, painter, etc when you just need the job done without a lot of noise. Greg came in to give estimates on some plumbing work, and because he was willing to do the internet search to find the part... and we were willing to wait until the part cld be shipped, we saved a ton of money, and got a plumber/handyman for life.

He's coming back to do some small jobs, but clearly can do big ones (we just don't need those now).

We'll never call another plumber handyman. Ever.

He did a good job and we were very happy with him. We were pretty happy with him as he was good. It was the most important job as the fence was down. He worked very quickly and got it done. We have had no problems with the fence posts and we think that it was leveled. He was here on time. We would use him again in the future but it would depend on the project.

The job went very well and we were impressed with him.  We liked that he did what he said he was going to do and followed through.  He was very neat.  He also came back when we had something that we wanted him to do differently and he came and fixed it right away.  He was just a very standup guy.

He did a great job. We really liked him and would definitely call him back.

Note:  Price noted did not include paint..   He is licensed and insured. After I accepted his bid, he told me he decided he would have another painter help him do it in one day rather than him doing the job in two days himself. I called back to make sure the other painter was insured and he was.  I would have preferred that Greg did the whole thing himself.  I also didn't know until the day of the painting that Greg does not tape edges - he freehand paints all edges. Most of it was o.k., but I prefer a nicely finished straight edge next to the woodwork and ceiling. I did ask  them come back and  touch up edges around the ceiling in the two of the rooms which they did with no problem. Overall, a good job. I would, however,  rather know all of the details up front rather than being caught off guard and having things presented to me rather than being asked. If you want your edges taped, it would be best to discuss this with him before you accept the bid. I just assumed they would be taped. On the  two plumbing and one electric "handyman" jobs - well done in a timely fashion at a fair price of $65 per hour. I was very satisfied.
