After some normal phone tag, I chatted with their office and made an appointment for that week. The technician arrived on time and was very nice. He was very polite and efficient. His work was well done. It took about an hour with all of the locks to be done. He asked me how many keys I'd like made and had no problem with the number I requested. It was a very efficient and pleasant experience. In the future we will likely be adding some locks in some areas. I will definitely call Englewood Lock and Safe, Inc. again. Very well done.

Our house was supposed to be going on the market and we couldn't get the key to turn in the front door. We called and they had someone out right away (we were lucky because they had a cancellation). Steve came out and figured out what was wrong in 2 minutes. Had it fixed and was out the door in 20 minutes and we were able to stay on schedule. Everyone was nice and so helpful!

Anytime we have a lock issue, they take care of it. They’re knowledgeable and they can make all our deadbolts and handles. The keys match, which is nice and so we don’t have to get different keys. They’re just good at communicating. They let us know when the guy is coming out and when the parts are coming in. We haven’t used any other locksmiths and so we don’t know about the other prices. It just seems like locksmith services are expensive and so we don’t know about the prices elsewhere. We will use them again in the future.

They had to order the door knobs for us. I have used them recently for other work and they have done a great job for me. He was very cordial and did a great job.

The knob was completely broken and he said he could not repair it. He replaced the knob and did an excellent job. I showed him all the knobs in the house and he either tightened or did some sort of repair work on every knob in the house. He was kind, polite, efficient, and a gentleman. He did a great job and did it quickly. I would call him again. He was supposed to be here between 10 and 1, but he called and said he had finished his job early and asked if he could come early. I told him that would be fine and he was here in about 15 minutes.

After researching Consumer Reports for the best lock (bump-proof, drill-proof, pick-proof) to install on a house that I was purchasing, I checked both Angie's List and Medeco's website to determine a reputable locksmith to acquire/install three deadbolts (vice rekeying existing Schlage locks). Once I found Englewood Lock & Safe, Inc., I contacted them via Angie's List. Maggi responded 2 days later (on Monday) to let me know that they received my request and she was checking with their order department on acquiring the locks. Later she followed up with a phone call to say that they would be able to get the deadbolts by Friday for the install and provided me a quote for materials and labor. Unfortunately, on Thursday Maggi let me know that UPS messed up the delivery and that Englewood only had half the parts needed for the install. So we rescheduled for the following week. On Wednesday, the locksmith (Steve) showed and installed the three locks. Service took ~3 hrs. to complete. Price = $990.58 ($55 service charge, $65 to replace/retrofit one deadbolt, $90 to install the other two deadbolts, $663.39 for the deadbolts, $27.19 tax). Before Steve left, he provided me a 2-ounce bottle of Tri-Flow lubricant and two keys. After he left, I had to do some minor cleanup (sweeping around three doors for some residual sawdust). Overall, the locks work well, just need to ensure the doors are pulled tightly shut.

Ross, the Field Technician, is great. He kept in touch with me while he was trying to find some handlesets I want for my entry doors. We will do that at a later date. He ordered the other hardware and did everything to perfection. He was organized, did a fantastic job on the installation, cleaned up very well, was interested in having everything right, and the total cost was even lower than he originally quoted.
I am delighted with his work and even called the owners and left a message for them.

I called Englewood because they had done work for me in the past and I like their responsiveness and price. They also clean up after themselves, which I find important. The Tech, Steve, came out and did most of the work in the first day. He returned the next day and completed the work even better than expected. This is the third time that I have hired Englewood and WILL hire them EVERY time that I am in need of a locksmith.

The work went great without a hitch and they are SUPER ! On a Sunday we locked ourselves out of the house! We used the neighbor's phone (no cell with us, of course) to call Englewood Lock and Safe since I knew they would be just the locksmith company to help us. We had used their services before to replace locks, when we moved in. Sure enough one of the locksmiths showed up within the hour - they always have their own employees, no sub-contract people. Extremely courteous employees...... always wonderful service..... and very trustworthy too!

The technician showed up on time and walked through the work to be done. He gave his input and then gave me a quote before the work started. He performed the work quickly and efficiently and cleaned up after he was done. Overall, a very positive experience. I would recommend them without hesitation.

The job went well. I was and am happy with the work. I was, however, disappointed when the locksmith told me after the work was completed and after I paid the bill that the locks in the doors probably wouldn't last more than a few years, as the builder of our new house had used locks of ''inferior quality''. If I had known that beforehand, I may have had them put in new locks instead of just re-keying the old ones. To me, this was material information that should have been shared prior to beginning the work. But still, I would hire them again. I'd just ask more questions beforehand.

The Broadway location did the job quickly. One of the keys didn't work properly, but since I had the car there, it was not an inconvenience. They made an adjustment and the keys fit perfectly. They also helped me with a referral to another vendor in the area.
