ECHOSTAR COMMUNICATIONS CORPORATION DISH NETWORK

Dish Network has been consistently professional and responsive to any requests and inquiries i have made to them over the years.  They timely address equipment problems and promptly answer questions regarding billing and service issues.  I am constantly looking for the best price for cable/tv service, and have over and over found that Dish is the best value; I have been with them for 7 years now.  I will look again this year for the best option and will not be surprised if Dish is once again the best option.

Signed up for Dishnetwork HD Satellite service at Town & Country Sam's Club. The retailer (SC Kiosk, a division of Radio Shack) wrote down the terms of the 18 month "contract". Installation went fine. But when I got my first bill it did not match the terms as explained by retailer. After many back and forth visits to the retailer and phone conversations with disinterested "customer service" reps at Dishnetwork, they not only refused to honor the terms as represented by their retailer, but raised their rates after one month. I have refused to pay the bill as it was not what was agreed upon. I will probably have to sue to recover the $230 I paid up front for the equipment.

THE INSTALLER WAS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND PERFORMED SLOPPY WORK. HE USED OUR PHONE TO CONTACT OFFICE AND USED PROFANITY WHILE IN OUR HOME WITH OUR GUESTS PRESENT. WE FINALLY HAD TO KICK HIM OUT OF OUR HOME, THEN LATER HE RETURNED TO OUR HOME AND CAME ONTO OUR PROPERTY WITH A CAMERA. WHILE WE LIKED THE MONTHLY COST, AS COMPARED TO CABLE, AND LIKED THE DVR THAT CAME WITH THE PACKAGE, THE FACT THAT WE HAD NO ACCESS TO OUR SYSTEM WHEN IT RAINED ABOVE A SPRINKLE TURNED US OFF. WE CANCELLED THE CONTRACT AFTER A FEW MONTHS OF TERRIBLE SERVICE.
