Description of Work: DFDN came to give an estimate for installing a French drain, repairing cracked brick facade, and correcting dampness in a crawl space. No estimate was given at the time and I was told to expect it in 5-7 days. A few days later DFDN called to say they had gotten a bigger job and couldn't do the my job, but had referred me to another contractor who would call within 2 days. That never happened. I feel I was just "blown off". I will never call DFDN again and will tell others of that fact.

 + 4 moreDan was very professional, prompt and courteous. I am still amazed at how great he made everything look - the wood was really tattered and looked awful! The doors are great, too. It is all very professionally done and we are very happy with his work. We plan to use him in the future for other carpentry projects.
Description of Work: All the beat up and awful-looking wood throughout our entire multi-level home (trim, baseboards, doors, closets, stairwells, window sills and accents) was refurbished and painted or replaced and painted. The cost is an estimate as he worked as a subcontractor during our renovation.

 + 0 moreWe have a small, old house and I require that the washer/dryer stay on the main floor in the kitchen. I needed something to make the washer/dryer less noticeable. Dan came to the house, assessed what I needed, took measurements back to his workshop to complete. He installed and painted the shelf and cabinet in two days. He painted and caulked everything on site to make sure it blended in with my other walls. Dan is a great carpenter and finisher. He does not do plumbing.
Description of Work: Designed and built a shelf to cover the back of an oversized washer/dryer; designed and built cabinet to hide dryer vents, but still give access to water and electrical outlets. Installed ceiling light. Light demo.
