When I moved with DPM, my move was from Pods into a house. My move was very easy to set up, however when the day of the move came one of my pods was missing and I knew I wasn't going to come close to meeting a 3 hour minimum. Instead of working with me when half of my possessions were missing (very traumatic), they wouldn't listen and insisted that the 3 hour minimum was non-negotiable and would still charge me a cancellation fee. I also was not aware of the 3 hour minimum prior to day of move. Apparently I was told on the phone but I don't remember, especially since I remember saying on the phone I was only going to need 2 hours. The 3 hour minimum was listed on the confirmation email, but I only reviewed it for time and hourly rate. The movers were fine, but the whole experience was so incredibly frustrating that I would NOT recommend them to anyone. I paid for 3 hours of moving services when I used 1. I don't understand how you expect to run a business when you refuse to listen to your customers. I intended to pay in cash to take advantage of the discounted rate, but because they insisted on charging me for 3 hours, I did not have enough on me and had to pay the higher credit card rate.
